My dad had one......as a kid the boot badge that slides to the side was the highlight. Now, not being a kid anymore I miss everything about this car. Love and miss this machine ❤️

I like 146 ti, very rare to see them. Good driving "package": quick steering rack, redesigned dampers and springs, front ventilated discs 284 mm, nice aluminium wheels (Speedline).
Twin Spark has very nice engine sound, 2.0 TS 110 kW or later 114 kW.
    Gearbox: 5 speed C510.

It was my first Alfa, such a beautiful car. Back then I was confused why people buy other cars while this Alfa drives beautifully, however later I discovered that people do not care about driving, that is why only few of us buy Alfas.

Yes, it is a tragedy that so many modern classics end up in the wrong hands to end their days prematurely. There are most definitely not enough petrolheads around.

@@ivanlazarevic78 I think us petrolheads are a dying breed.

@@ivanlazarevic78 Being a petrolhead is more about the love for driving experience than the fuel type, it is about the sensation when you look and drive the car that handles well than having the latest technology bells and whistles. No problem of being a petrolhead even with the diesel, hybrid or electric, it is a way of thinking more than what car you drive. Majority of people are always the same, they drive simply because they do not want to walk and use public transportation, there is significant amount of those who choose their cars to show them to others, but only small portion of drivers are enthusiasts who enjoy driving for what it is, this is why we do not see more good cars and one of the reasons why Alfa is dying.

Oh, is this possible? A realistic review of 146's steering and handling. I often wonder the journalists comparing it with the Golf of the time and saying that is does not drive or handle good enough, I find driving a Golf 3 and 4 like riding a fat pig, you hit it with the whip but it only squeaks and does not go any faster, not to mention the horrible slow steering.
My 146 was a TI model with 2.0 TS, what a wonderful car it was, I miss it still.

Sometimes I wonder how independent some journalists are. Alan Johnson was a local favorite. The 146 definitely had great steering, which added a lot to the driving enjoyment. Also a competent, entertaining handling, which may be considered a bit harsh over bad surfaces. I never had a 146, but I did buy a 155 TS 16v Super, which shares a lot of components. I lovely car that I still love after more than 20 years in my possession. And did I mention the engine?

Most journalists are full of shit, I've had four 147's and now a 146 and they have superior steering to every other car I've driven, other cars feel slow steering and lazy.
