    I appreciate that you describe some of these items as luxury, and not a necessity.

      Only thing that’s mandatory has a primer at the rear end. 😉

    Hey Dan. As a civilian I’m curious what a good strategy to not get shot by police responding to an active shooter scenario looks like. This has always been something I’ve struggled with when determining an SOP.

      Call into 911 and give your description and what you’re doing. They should dispatch that to responding officers. Once LEO shows up, get out of the way.

    • @security29
      @security29 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Just listen to responding officers when they arrive, drop the weapon if they tell you to drop it , and always know what you will hit if you miss your shot on the threat , you don't want to miss and hit the wrong person, stay safe out there

      All the comments are valid. A lot goes into it. Describing yourself is huge, having a hands free way of doing that while also keeping situational awareness would be important. Headphones or AirPods would assist with that. And be ready to stop engaging when LEO respond. Also. Be ready to get roughed up with stressed up cops. Stay cool calm and collect and speak clearly. That’s why I mentioned it’s not a clear cut thing, and depends on so many variables

      Best tip is to not respond with an AR or AK. It sucks that cops think a rifle is an excuse, but civillian rifle carry is just not very common.

      @ I mean. Definitely don’t respond with an AK…

    In Oklahoma you have to show creds and
    have creds or retired creds to sell LEO patches

    • @SoileaterYT
      @SoileaterYT  ปีที่แล้ว

      Weird when you can just buy them off Amazon, embroider your own or screen print them. Idk how they would remotely enforce that.

      @@SoileaterYT it’s kinda the same as it’s illegal to install windshield tint or tint that’s lower than state min but every tint shop does it. What i will say tho is every physical store at least in Tulsa requires creds to purchase anything with any type of insignia. U can purchase all the gear all day long. But if u try to get any patches that say pd cop police sheriff marshal fbi etc it’s a no without matching creds

    What are your thoughts on former LEOs responding to critical incidents, if they are first on scene?

      If you are already there, get to work. Save who needs to be saved.. and you know the rest.

    What's that pistol mag carrier you have on the left side of your plate carrier? Esstac? Might have to swap out my double AR/pistol for a double AR and that single pistol, it looks good

    • @SoileaterYT
      @SoileaterYT  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      This is the Haley Strategic D3CR, the pistol mag holder is built into the side of it. If you want something similar blue force gear mages an elastic pouch similar that molle’s on.

    As a security guard off duty or on duty , I am Canadian so don't carry a gun every day,
    But always carrying my oc dog spray, and a tactical pen with a pair of handcuffs in my front pocket, if dieing is asked of me I have no problem dieing to save others

      @@SoileaterYT everyone in Congress is sworn. The only reason it became a thing was because soldiers back from Vietnam got on the job and started throwing the term around. It stuck. But unless you need a 3 day pass issued to you to get out of CQ duty,.. you are a civilian.

    • @MichaelGlennglennimages
      @MichaelGlennglennimages 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@SoileaterYT it’s not a dig by the way. Policing is an honorable job. All I am saying is the long is just slang that took hold over the decades and now it stuck. We simply use a civilian policing model in the U.S. that’s why guys and gals can apply, be hired, resign, get fired, etc. only civilians have that reality.

      It’s hard to go over everything to expect in a 20-30min video. I felt like I was rambling a bit, but that’s what these on take videos are, no edit, just me and my rambling lol
