But usually they're kind and very helpful, explain everything in detail. They do not hide their past, it's hard and shameful and very uncomfortable to them but yet they do not look away neither do they want us to. We're taught about Germanys past, especially ww2, several times in school. We are to read books about it and watch movies. I remember when we were first taught about it in history class, in grad 7 or 8, and we had to watch a movie and gawd... The whole class was depressed for 2 weeks... It was really hard to watch... But that was the moment history class became most interesting to the students. Today I study history. Germans joke around a lot, some jokes are so hardcore and a bit rude that you have to sit down for a moment lmao. You don't want to laugh but sometimes you still to. Trains and busses are late most of the time yet they're strict about punctuality. Pretty ironic. Lmao. But they're really kind. Germany makes me think of a very small US because you literally have ppl from everywhere here. They're hardworking, and love to party, you're welcome to randomly party with them. Also the beer is delicious. I love German beer. They worked hard to change Germanys image and now it's one of the leading countries of Europe. I could add so many more things I like about this country haha. But all in all, it may not be perfect, but I still love and appreciate living in Germany.
