    Exercise delivers oxygen and nutrients to your tissues and helps your cardiovascular system work more efficiently. And when your heart and lung health improve, you have more energy to tackle daily chores.

    Thanks Doc🙏 You’re the only one with a video for knees and hips. Everyone else is working the buttocks 🤦🏼‍♀️
    That tells me the state of the world-people watching “Kim fake-ass” instead of listening to God. I don’t know about y’all but this grandma is training to fight for her family.

    I suffered a fracture of the left patella 15 years ago. I must wear a knee brace when exercising. I'll try these strengthening exercises. Thank you.

    Love ❤️ how you thoroughly explain everything! I was just diagnosed with a disc protrusion at L1-L2. Any suggestions for exercises would be greatly appreciated! Walking, pilates and light weights were recommended. NEVER DO DEADLIFTS AGAIN, was advised by the Neurosurgeon. I had started doing deadlifts a few weeks before getting excruciating pain and presently have numbness. The Neurosurgeon and Orthopedic surgeon said L1-L2 herniated disc is very unusual. I've also had emergency surgeries at L4-L5 and L5-S1 many years ago and was left with permanent nerve damage. Warm regards 💕

      @drkristieennis  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh I’m sorry:( it’s a definitely not as common as an area to herniate as the lower lumbar. With regards to exercise, I do love Pilates but it’s very important to keep a neutral spine so as not to aggravate the back. Take a look at these videos and run them by your surgeon:

      @@drkristieennis Thank you so much for recommending some videos for me to try. I will check them out. I will have to make my own decision with regards to the exercises I try since I don't see the surgeon again. Thank God I don't require surgery!!!

    Hi Dr Kristie!! I was doing the exercises with you!!! Just without weights. I am going to pretend that doing them with no weights is better than not doing them at all? And easy to do when you are in a standing place, and you have a minute to move your legs! :) Anyways, another great video!!! Have a happy week! 🙂

    You should try Bala bangles which are great ankle and arm weights and look so sleek. Also you may wanna check your sound during the edit or even your mic as this seems to be completely coming out of the right only. There is no sound or audio out of the left.

    Hi! Thanks so much for the awesome tips!
    I’m thinking of purchasing ankle weights for strength in my legs as I’m currently learning soccer..
    Do you mind recommending the weight and brand of ankle weights I should start with as I’m currently twelve years old(extra info; I weigh 82 lbs and I’m 57’ inches)

    • @drkristieennis
      @drkristieennis  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I typically start my patients off with light weight, between 2-5 pounds. My goal for patients is to feel fatigue after doing the reps, but not pain or fatigue to the point of not moving the leg correctly!
      I do like DMoose
