Thank you so much for this. I was ready to pull the trigger on these and then I came across this. No one else in any of the other reviews I read or watched brought up that they were unvented. My second choice was $100 less so I'm sure I'll be happier and have an extra $100 because of you. Thanks again
@@saumyasharma9993 it creates a more plugged, pressurized feel. It's less important on an all balanced armature set though because they don't move air like dynamic drivers.
Super Mark, THANK YOU for this review. I had lusted after an SA6 for a while but, thanks to you, I got the Orchestra Lite a couple weeks ago. I'm over the moon. I'm just listening for enjoyment like most (not pro use) and I don't feel like I want any more or any less of bass, mids or treble. The treble is gentle but the IEM doesn't sound muffled to me. I absolutely LOVE it. This could be end game for me personally 😱🤯
It is amazing how budget IEMs come so far these days because I just got mine and they blew my old sub $1000 flagship IEMs Solaris and Andromeda in imaging and resolution not bad at all whoa Only complaint is mild BA timbre on some songs and weak bass but will hold on to these until I get my Anole V14
I have the Aful and I promise you it’s not overhyped. It’s as neutral as it gets for a IEM. Will play the recording accurately with no boosted bass or treble. But if the track has heavy bass or treble you will hear how it was meant to be heard through the Performer 5.
Comparing the frequency response with the Dunu Titan S, I found they are very similar in term of tuning. I wonder how good of an upgrade the Kiwi lite might be for more than double the price. Great video!
I reqlly enjoy your reviews and especially the fit and comfort element you add, since i apparently have smaller ears than normal. Not that most iems would fit but that they either wouldn't stay in or would be painful for long listening. I would have thought these would cause discomfort for long listening periods.
Meteor is a warmer and thicker sound than Orchestra Lite, more emphasis on vocal in OLite though it's still fairly relaxed. Technical performance between them is similar.
I've been eyeing up the Truthear Hexa over the past few months now (your review of it was excellent, by the way) and it sounds like it's one of those IEMs that punches/performs above its $80-$100 price range... Another one that's caught my attention is the Aful Performer5 - obviously in the higher $250 range - and now this Orchestra Lite has me interested as well... My question is: Do you think the $250 Performer5 and Orchestra Lite perform, overall, markedly better than the Hexa ? Or would I be 'losing out' on $170-worth of justified excellence if I went with Hexa ? Thanks !
Those three are all good enough that you're missing out no matter what you choose -- but not in some linear good-better-best way, but in a all-good-in-different-ways sorta way. Performer5 and Orchestra Lite are a little bassier than Hexa.
Thanks for the review Seems like a good set, almost pushing my iem budget limit😅 Would like to try them. Will you be reviewing the Simgot AE500’s anytime soon? Look forward to your next review 😊👍🏼
Nicely Done. I think in your part ll video you reveal the size of the nozzle/bore without tips and talk a little about it . Fit is key on any iem. Just a suggestion to include in all your reviews :) You also talked about the Audio Hekili . Does it still stand up over a year latter ? (sadly no lip on the nozzle) Thanks
Been really digging these! It’s my first all BA set. The Moondrop S8 seems to have the same tuning with slightly more sub-bass and treble air. Is the S8 a substantial upgrade to the Orchestra Lite?
Interesting, I get a lot of mileage out of the laidback, warm-neutral presentation of the Orchestra lite, but I would love to get my hands on the S8 for the improved definition & techs. Thanks for the response!@@SuperReview
Great video! Just subscribed. I need advice here. Im entering the audiophile world. My very initial setup is, Phillips SHP 9600 headphones and also, as a DAC the FiioQ3, Im very pleased so far. Im thinkig about this IEMs, my questions are: is it recommended to use my FiioQ3? Or do you suggestt another dac? And the most important question would be, comoaring to my set up, how this monitors would change my experience with music?
Fiio Q3 should work fine for most things. Basically just need to consider (a) max output power, (b) noise floor / hiss, and (c) output impedance. (b) and (c) are mostly an issue for IEMs, but the Q3 is pretty good there. As for the second question, I don't know how to answer. IEMs will be different than headphones. Explaining how is hard vs. just listening to them.
Hey man, watching your videos for a looong time! Big fan of yours. Do you know which IEM JoeWo is using ? I asked him on Twitch but is not answering because they makers of the IEM are not paying him. Maybe you can see on his videos which one he uses? Would be greatly appreciated man.
@@SuperReview Damn that's interesting because even Meteor has been touted as having some great technicals for the driver config and the tuning. I think I might be underestimating the technicals of the Orchestra Lite.
Hmm, unfortunately it being not vented is a hard pass for me. I am one of those few people that are very sensitive to pressure build-up, so sadly despite this sounding like one of the best sets under $500, I would not even be able to wear it for long.
Unvented is actually much better at noise isolation, I wore my Orchestra Lite on flight and it was able to completely isolate the airplane engine noise, I could never wear vented iem in public as it just doesn't isolate external noise. Most iem are vented which makes the Orchestra Lite a unique iem for specific purposes.
@@contrarian2496 yeah, I don't really travel a lot. And when I do, the noise isolation of a vented but semi custom shelled set like my Bravery AE already does more than enough for me. The vacuum-like feeling from a non vented is too strong and uncomfortable for my ears.

Not better, just different. Orchestra Lite is more midrangey, Quintet a little brighter and more contrasty. I think most people will prefer Quintet on quick comparison, but personally I find Orchestra Lite the better IEM for longer listening.

Do you know what's being talked about? It is the small hole in the iem housing. All iems with DD and Planar need these holes to prevent the driver from flexing when inserted into the ear canal and while working. BA is generally not needed because the way it works is different from DD and Planar.
It's not about the driver flex. Regardless what type of the transducer tech, there will always be accumulated air pressure that is trapped in the ear canal because all these IEMs transmit sound through air conduction.
