Ooh dinner, a show, a stay in a hotel and breakfast the next day, how wonderful. As you were in Tunbridge Wells did you get a chance to go to World of Sewing for a fabric rummage? I read the other day that there is a new fabric shop opening in Eastbourne, I can’t remember the name of it but I think it will be specialising in sustainable fabrics. I love everything you have made, thanks for sharing Cara. 💙🧶🌈🍓
Love the set, you should definitely be wearing together as well as separately. Im catching up as you posted this back when I was on holiday, can't believe that is a month ago, but hope you enjoyed the show and night away you were going to have. i'm sewing a waistcoat (Pompon) and trouser set as i'm watching😀
Oh wow Nicky when you say it was only a month ago, seems like a lifetime to me! Can't believe it. You're so lovely to watch and comment, I really appreciate it x happy new year to you and yours x
Love your Ressac sweatshirts! We’re having some cool weather for the next 10 days, which has me wanting to sew some jumpers. When I was in my late teens, I had a pattern very similar to the Persephone trousers. I made countless pairs of them. Hope you enjoyed your weekend holiday.Happy sewing, Cara.
wow, love that co-ord. Go for it! Which of course you do! I am in France, looking forward to my Ressac kit coming from Andrea. I love Maison Fauve, the French Terry she is selling is gorgeous and so is the ribbing. A little pricey but so worth it for the quality. I am making the Granite sweater, a super easy pattern of hers, but I want to use some "difficult" knit fabric from my stash. Love your vlogs. 🥰
So lovely to listen to your enthusiastic vlog. Hope you enjoyed the Show! Enjoy your makes and don’t worry what anyone else thinks - your ‘Bet Lynch’ outfit looks beautiful on you and as you say, fewer and fewer people know who you mean and in this day and age her character should be consigned to the past! Maison Fauve is so chic xxx
Hello Cara. Another interesting vlog. Thanks so much. Just got home from work and sat down to see all your newest makes. Yes, it really is like sitting across from a friend chatting in a cafe. However, this virtual cafe spans the Atlantic 😊 as I am writing to you from Georgian Bay, Canada. Love the Maison Fauve jumper on you. It looks really cozy. Love the rose and leopard fabric, too. Enjoy your evening out.😊 🇨🇦
Love your co-ord Cara. You totally own it! I’ve made 2 pairs of derwents but find I’m not reaching for them. I have enough of the navy ponte I used for them left to make a Jalie Emilie sweater and possibly a cropped Sinclair harper cardigan, so I think I’ll do a co-ord. I’m sure I’ll get more wear out of them that way. Thank you for giving me ideas 😂Have a great weekend 💞💞
@ It is isn’t it. I’ve made 2 Emilies and a sleeveless one in the past month and I have a cream cable effect one cut out and ready to go. I’m also hoping I have enough left from another project to make a 5th version. I love them with my flared jeans. Best free pattern I’ve found so far 😂💞
What a lovely way to start my Saturday morning Cara! I'm actually off to Arizona later today for the Thanksgiving holiday with my family! Yay! I haven't seen my son since March and I'm not sure I'll let him out of my sight this whole next week, haha. This week I sewed another Toaster Sweater #1, a very fitted long sleeve t-shirt from Sinclair (sorry can't remember the name) and the long sleeve bishop sleeve version of the Galena Knit Dress from Styla. Have you heard of this dress? For the life of me I can't remember how I even found this pattern. But it is marvelous! I made it out of a Minerva exclusive blue with bright pink leopard spots! I know - another animal print! And I'm going to try and whip up another pair of Léonore Pants by Jalie, before heading to the airport (crazy I know). I'm hoping to get some decent pics of me in Arizona so I can post my makes. Hope you had a great time at the show and have a wonderful week. 🌴😎💛
Wow Rita you’ve been busy! I love the sounds of your plans . Have a wonderful holiday and I look forward to seeing your makes over on your instagram xx
Love how we can mix and match our sewn garments. Spring here in New Zealand. I’ve just cut out another Anita Blouse by Style Arc in rayon. Take care over there.
Love your comfy set. I'm away in Harrogate with Jenny, did the show today (wasn't as good as the nec) and tomorrow we're off to York tomorrow more shopping, Castle howard and Judi. Hoping the weather isn't too bad 😊
I’ve only seen Mason Fauv patterns featured on your channel. They are unique, and you sew them and wear them beautifully! You also have a talent to match fabric with the pattern, resulting in stylish and well fitted garments. Do you have to alter the patterns to fit?
Unfortunately the Persephone trousers are not very size inclusive. Also, the measurements are only in imperial. That's always more complicated to get the size right. Having to convert everything is just no fun. I love your Ressac sweater. I am wondering if maybe it is slightly too big hence the too long sleeves in the first one. You seem to have a very pronounced pleat at the shoulders, maybe you have a bit too much fabric there. It's not a problem, its nice and oversized, just a thought.
I love the coord! You should absolutely wear it!
That’s very kind thank you
Co-ord is a terrific look Cara! Wear and enjoy ❤
Thank you so much x

Your plans sound fantastic! It’s amazing isn’t it how some patterns are go to and others just somehow aren’t, it’s fascinating

😅 wearing my derwents as I watch this!!! gorgeous co ord 😍 you have to wear it all together!!!
Thank you Sarah ❤️ I do actually really like it, then my daughter said ‘you’re not wearing that together right’ 😅❤️

Oh that sounds amazing! Such beautiful place too ❤️
I just finished the Daikiri blouse and dress.
Oh wow that sounds fabulous ❤️❤️

That’s very kind of you. Rarely do I need to adapt the patterns I use the size guides and they fit me with no changes, such amazing patterns
I think you should wear what you like and not worry what other folk think. Totally agree about why are jumpsuits seen as ok but not co-ords.
Thank you so much I really appreciate your comment x
Great makes! I really want some of the fabric you made the coord set. What is the fabric type and did it come from rainbow fabrics?
Hi it’s from cloth control it’s such a lovely fabric x
It's funny isn't it, that a jump suit is ok, but seperates can be seen as "too much"?
lol I know exactly what you mean 🥰 lovely to hear from you thank you
Love that outfit, looks so snuggly!❤
