using Painters tape to keep your edges clean and may let you work closer to the edge of the painted area also. looks awesome. i will try it this afternoon . thanks

Very nice, thank you for sharing. Just an idea, maybe try to do a wire burn in the groves. But it looks great!

Hi from the UK. I sourced the same brand inks and stamp with the felts pads and had my first try at colouring with ink. The inks are very ‘pigment strong’ and I got the desired effect that I wanted, but with two problems . Firstly, the fibres from the felt remained in the ink and were a devil to get out. I used 0000 wire wool with a very light touch and managed to knock the tops off of most of the fibres, but there was a definite texture in the ink when I was done. The second problem was the inks ran when I applied melamine lacquer. I ended up having to sand the piece down to bare wood and start again from the sanding sealer stage. I still had the problem with the fibres from the felt second time around and acrylic lacquer worked fine. I’m going to try 100% wool felt, as that is supposedly more stable. Any other suggestions would be great fully received.
