@@KidNamedKuddy Found a deal on a 2004 zx10r and scooped that up, realized liter bike stigma is mostly fear mongering. Months later almost died on my fz07. Now I’m recovering and gonna pick up a 600 lol. They’re way more agile than a liter bike, less things to worry about when cornering like loss of traction.
James Cyr Both are ridiculously quick. However, the Street Triple has a more "usable" powerband with power being available at any rpm. The R6 needs to be in the higher rpms to feel the power, but once it's there, it will feel like it's taking off into orbit.
Do you have any drive train lash? As in play in the transmission that can be felt when on to off throttle mostly at low speeds, I just got a 2003 r6 and so far this is my only concern it rides great otherwise.
I had one too red and black and withe...a had anaccidente and she as soo good but i had luck not to die...but i love her...she as gone to garbich...😢😢😢😢
I really like the responsible way you ride...
You said you don't usually go to the power band because of the gas milage and noise.....I'm sorry but what are you doing on a r6 in that case?
I mean I don't ride around over 8k rpms all the time.
You need a naked bike, pointless having a supersport if you don't like revving it.
Pugzilla69 what does having a naked bike have to do with revving it?
Nakeds typically have engines tuned for more low end torque, makes them better street bikes.
@@Starstreak170 Yeah and ricers typically have more power than average cars. Changing the look of something doesn't mean the engine is changed.
Didn't realize there is a 2003 raven edition lol
Nice video man. I have an 05 r6 and i love it. honestly i like this style more than the newer 06+ r6. Alot of power is right.
I love the headlights of the old ones 03 and up
I have a gsx600f my son has the cbr600rr his first bike was a Yamaha R6 awesome bikes
@@vemprite5698 same here
My 2003 sounds EXACTLY the same, I love it, love it love it. I have run it on the track and have not even come close to its limits
Great bike and fast lol the tank is big but all around great bike. Still have mine keep it up and still upgrading its a beast
Are these bikes reliable and cheap to maintain? I'm thinking of buying this exact model for my first bike but dont know much abt bikes yet.
same questions ^
peak power on the 2003 r6 is at 13500rpm
How tall are you because I'm planning on buying an 03 r6 and I'm 6'2 with shoes
i have an 03 r6 and if i hammer it in first the front end will come up. i shit my pants when i first did it.
I dont have to touch my clutch to bring mine up. Ive been building it fir 17 years
@@Ridezallday1679 u have been building a bike for 17 years?
@@thisoldnew4544 yah. Im blue collar baby. We can say the last 6 ive done nothing with it. I changed priorities but its a beast
Yes i know wath tath is😂
I can see why u enjoyed it !!!
Nice Mods, too
;)
This is pretty much how I'd ride the r6 if I had it. Debating whether I should bite the bullet or not.
What did you end up doing

How does this power on this R6 compare to the street triple? Do you think it would an easy change or take some time?

As @Arch417 said, after 10k rpm R6 will feel much faster, but lower rpm the triple is way more powerful in low and mid end .
sweet video ride

All bikes do it... Its a bike not a car. That's how they are. Even brand new.
Are You riding in Chandler? The beginning of the video looks so familiar! Riggs and Gilbert
