@@EmilPiano When we get in space, and earth's rotation and light cycle in relation to the sun is no longer relative, do we still go by "earth time" in space? Or should we come up with another measurement for time in the space age?
When Flea starts talking about wanting to make a record which feels like it belongs up there with other greats and feel like it has transcended time, I would like to say to him: Flea, you are great! You have transcended time in ways many other legends have done before you. When I listen to your classics and latest songs I feel like in that moment I am truly free and am one with music. I've been grooving to Tippa of my tongue because it's a fun song and at times when I'm driving out in the countryside I like to also play Goodbye Angels. The bass line toward the end of the song of Goodbye Angels hits hard and it's like being warped around a black hole out in the universe. It's a head spinner and a head high. Happy 60th birthday Flea! Too many more years of hard rock, punk rock, funk rock, alternative rock, or whatever humans like to label a genre keep on rockin out with you sock out for many many many more years!
The last minute of Goodbye Angels is all goosebumps for me. Flea's slapping, Josh's riff, the bass dropping out and then the slide bringing Flea back in angrier than ever with distortion, and of course Chad's sick groove.
I love how Flea is so real, also mentioning the classic dealing with others-stuff, like how they don't always give the response he wants. I've had this idyllic perception of their bond growing up so it's so refreshing to hear that it's normal to not always see eye to eye with those closest to you.
I saw the Chilli's in Manchester, UK earlier this year. He has the same amount of energy as he did 30 yrs ago and made us all laugh when he did a hand stand
flea truly opened up about himself on this interviews. I've seen a huge amount of interviews of him. he truly was in a good mood that day. this makes me happy. spoke from his heart
FABULOUS bass player!I can't think of ANYONE who enjoys playing the bass(and music)more than Flea. When I first saw him on an early video,I thought"Dang! That's ME!I won an Air Force talent show because of my bass(Flea influenced/inspired).Though it was a Sax,Bass&Drums presentation, the bass is the one that won the judges over!Grateful.
@goroot That's amazing wow that must've been a wild gig, I was born in 86 and i feel a similar way about their records too, can only imagine what it is like to have seen and experienced them back then, then to see them progress to where they are now, must be a very surreal and special feeling
Jus saw them at Louder than Life Festival in Ky an they blew me away, 1st time I saw them an have loved them my whole life it seems..so happy they r all healthy an still here making amazing music for US…
Flea, The Timeless Band dedicates our performances of Red Hot Chili Peppers to Walter and Meg U and their family. Best wishes always! Walter was so proud of you. Pete M.
Very happy 60th Flea, you and your band are the finest to me,loved the Saturday show in London. By the way changed my life, and two albums out this year, whatever next??!
I love this guy so much. Wow happy birthday man I find it hard to believe that my favorite band has guys that are 60 what. You'll never be old in my eye's.
Yeah no rock retirement home for this band that's for sure, anyone who saw their recent shows or listened to their new albums will know these boys arent going out like that.
You speak the truth I had a high school buddy that I played football with back in the 70's and found out he passed away last week at 64 and it really makes you stop and think .. love how you slap your bass.
Flea was my neighbor in 1991. He said he was in a band and I didn't think too much of it. I thought it was just another band trying to make it and playing small clubs until a few years later after I moved away and discovered what band it was.
I was always a hard rock fan! Heard the Chilli Peppers! I thought yea whatever there decent, then there talent shined thru, no denying there a helluva talent, EVH for ever no dought!
Mr. Flea...!!! 😃 BIG 60...!!! 🥧🧃🎸🎼🎶 I remember back in 2002 when Flea made a u-turn over the train tracks in Van Nuys in typical Flea fashion on the way to the airport when the train crossing signal light started flashing I thought he was about to be Metro-Linked, thank God or the devil he made it off the tracks in time he still had a lot a rockin' to do.
Flea, absolute legend, beautiful influential human, inspiration on many levels, has been to me for a long time, (and I'm pretty smart). I'd be interested to hear what He thinks after returning to Melbourne and cruising the streets as He says He loves to do. I live in Melbourne, Still love it, life in Melbourne broadly speaking has vastly changed. Nonetheless Awesomeness abundance to all the Chillis in all their travels and free creation for all in Melbourne.
I can totally relate. I don't feel older than 30 and in my heart i am 10. I feel exactly the same about the streets of melbourne and a violet crumble. 👋👋👋👋👋😀Xo
Holy Frack, he's _older_ than I am. Did not know that. But not that much older. Dang, when did I get "old" ? (Answer: Yeah, it's been awhile and I'm still not ready to be over the hill.)
riveting interview.... Im inspired with a question and bc I dont know the question yet surprises me. When I travel, what drink or food will I so miss? Ive been in south Texas for 44 years and that's all I know. What's normal to me is simply a culture... huh. I know here closer to the mexico border we have amazing authentic tex mex food. all of my fav's ive learned how to make at home easily as a last resort. And a particular ultra healthy shake at a health shop where they see me and i say the usual... But really, Ive seen ultra healthy meal replacement shakes so probably not much by end of it. Ive concluded that place has best this and that place has best that but im more hungry for next chapter for food locations to hold me back.

He's the pepper that I really want to meet, just to tell him what great people they are
He came into my restaurant a couple years ago. He eats clean.
He is going to be a father at 60
@@savanaviolenta Well yeah, he has three kids. And as long as he stays alive, he'll continue being a father even past that age, too.
