I cannot thank you enough for sharing information beyond language learning. This is meaningful for me personally. Thank you for working so hard and connecting with us language learners far from you. 😊

+1 on interesting and deep topics. [There is so much we can talk about, that I believe we should be discussing, that we are told not to discuss. It is a shame that we don't. Especially when we find people we can trust and appreciate, but then don't. Or we are told; can't.]
This reasoning figures quite largely into my motivation to learn this wonderful language. So I can meaningfully communicate w/it's wonderful People. About meaningful things.
    In these very interesting times.
Thank you, my trusted friend & teacher.
i will be commenting in Chinese soon... [thanks to you]
< 1 week in to watching your content/lessons, and I can at least kind of understand some natural dialogue. All the other teachers are too dry and technical and although it is interesting and somewhat helpful in learning things; they have not helped me attain linearity in language aptitude.
I have been absolutely loving your content, tact, insight, knowledge, wisdom, and personality. It is precious rare and powerful.
Now, back to work, i go!! [A work, again; thanks to you, that I love]
Chinese Wei all the way, for me!!!
    lfg!

    这非常有趣。 请向我们传授更多有关佛教和中国宗教的知识。 我同意您所说的。 要完全理解一种语言和文化,我们必须研究宗教,以加深我们的理解。

That`s the kind of video that I`d like to have more, like the one you talked about 神仙。 Wei老师, there is something that intrigues me and I have been wanting to ask you for a while. Your pronunciation of some sounds isn´t standard at all. Is that because of your regional accent variation or because you have some kind of lisp? (sorry to ask about it). For example in this video when you said 推测,the c sound in "tuice" is not the standard sound. Also when you say "z" sounds, like 最早。

It's not because I have some kind of lisp. I just keep a more casual and relaxed state when I talk. There's no intention to say one word at a time. This is similar to alliteration and syllable weakening in English. This is the kind of Chinese you would hear in real life, not like a TV program or listening material.I didn't realize that this would be confusing for non-native speakers. Do you think I should intentionally speak more clearly or keep it natural?

Even when you said one word at a time, in your very first lessons of the series "Learn Chinese like a Chinese" and holding a doll explaining about body parts, you still pronounced it that way...
I'm no expert but I've heard lots of native speakers in real life and usually the tendency of changing the c to ch and z to zh/j is more common in southern dialects and in Taiwan, that's why I also asked about your regional accent. Can you tell us where are you from? Just cultural/linguistic curiosity.
I'm nobody to tell you to change it intentionally if that's your natural way of speaking. It just depends on your objective and what you want to teach. For me that pronunciation is more representative of a southern accent and I personally prefer to emulate a more neutral standard accent.
Anyway I appreciate your philosophical talks and effort in the videos👍

If an eternal being lives in a world of finite size, such as the Earth from a human perspective,he has to deal with boredom. buf for an eternal being ,mabybe the world is vast and infinite, and so are the dimensions.
