There are hundreds of thousands of christians living and working in Saudi Arabia. On the contract I worked on for ten years there were 5,000 British christians working in Saudi Arabia alone. There are literally tens of thousands of American christians working for the State oil company in the Eastern Province of Saudi. If I wanted to attend a church service the only place in the whole of Saudi Arabia is within the Embassy walls. is that fair? I dont' think so.

There is also a true story that at the end of the Gulf War in 1990 when Saddam was defeated the King of Saudi Arabia King Fahd asked the British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher if the Mosques in Britain would be permitted to call out for prayer from the miniarets of the Mosques throughout Britain. Thatcher agreed, so long as tape recordings of English christian church bells would be played out of huge loudpseakers in all the towns of Saudi, including Mecca and Medina. The King didn't reply.....

Of course they have, in the Islamic world, but we all see what modern Islam has turned into. Sikh's, Hindu's, Buddhist's, Jews, Christians all live in this country and get along. All the other communities contribute and mix. We see what modern Islam is and there is no place for it. The clock is ticking

Also there are plenty of ancient Korans that have differences from the modern texts. And even all modern texts do not agree. The Saudis push their version as being the one that is the words of the prophet but they have even manipulated translations to fit their own beliefs.

Well, I'm glad you think that executing non-believers just for entering a religious city is 'intolerant'. But the whole ethos of Islam is 'intolerant'. Right from the beginning in the Qur'an, SuratAl-Fatihah I, clause 7, it states: "THE WAY OF THOSE ON WHOM YOU HAVE BESTOWED YOUR GRACE, NOT THE WAY OF THOSE WHO EARNED YOUR ANGER (SUCH AS THE JEWS), NOR OF THOSE WHO WENT ASTRAY (SUCH AS THE CHRISTIANS)". That doesn't sound tolerant to me, and can be used as an excuse by any Muslim for violence.
There are Churches in Tehran.

Here's another true story. SwissAir have the red cross from their flag on the tailwings of their aircraft. Saudi Arabia asked the Swiss Govt to have these removed from there planes. The Swiss Govt. agreed, so long as the Saudi Flag on Saudia flights was also removed. It was agreed that both airlines coule keep their flags. Intolerance is the hall mark of the saudi state and Islam. The two go hand in hand. And give a Muslim an inch, and they'll take a mile, and give nothing back in return.
