- The BMW iX2 is a very controversial looking EV but it's injected with all the BMW DNA that we know and love. However, is it just a less practical and slightly more unsightly version of the iX1? Let me know your thoughts!

That central storage is hilarious, really poorly thought out, thats where you put sunglasses and packets of sweets! You might get a box of tictacs in there lol. I cant see this replacing my iX3

I am Very disappointed they have changed the look of the X2 but made into an EV!! When i changed my car a few weeks ago one of yhe contenders was the last model of x2 which i thought eas very sporty looking especially in grey. But now with that ugly rear and it going EV its got a permanant streike of the list. And that front looks like two big nostrals the a big black moustache underneath..hidious!

I'm so with you on the lack of a rear wiper, Tish (ugh!). That's always a non-starter for me if it doesn't have one! Also, loved the look you gave when you popped the hood and saw no "frunk" (that's one reason I love watching you!).
As far as the center "storage" goes, it looks like BMW didn't take into account to adapt the car for the UK consumer, otherwise the door would've opened toward the passenger side (the left, in your case). Also not a fan of the lack of physical buttons on the dash, either.
I love your outfit (especially that blazer!) as well as when you talked about the back seat area - and how you looked gigantic when you got inside 😉Anytime I get to see you doing a review is a treat for me! 🥰
Besides more headroom in the back, iX1 also has a bigger glass roof which can be opened.
Great review again Tish, really accomplished and thorough. With you on the front lower grill… very odd. Also not a fan of the harsh back end. If I did have a spare £50k I am not sure this is how I would spend my money.

I have never owned a BMW. Maybe that is why I like the look of the new X2. The new X1 is boxy and boring looking. The X2 as a lot more style.

@@AR-1806 We were in the BMW dealers yesterday. You may be surprised to hear that there is a 6 month waiting list for the X2. Plenty of people must like the style. The world would get boring if we all liked the same thing.

I had a 2023 BMW 235i XDrive which was rear ended by a lady driving a Chevy truck traveling at a speed of over 55 mph. My car has been deemed to a total loss, which requires me to pick my next BMW. I have driven the X1as well as the x2, I elected to order the X2 M xDrive 28i because I like the body style of the x2much more than I do the X1, I much prefer the slopping roof line.
I so enjoyed your review on the x@, it was very well done.
If people are concerned about the rear wiper, then this is NOT the video to watch. Plain and simple! Anyways right off the bat: the dimensions! If "Honey I Shrunk The Kids" was a car, it would be the ix2. Much smaller version of the X4 and the almighty X6M, but it still maintains that familiar BMW prescence. Not fully sold on BEVs but I do love this car, and the pricing is reasonable for those who don't the more expensive options. However, premium luxury SUVs are the biggest threat to the Eurocars, and one major competitor of the BMW is Volvo. So is this car truly worth the price, or should customers invest in the Volvo EX30, or even the Volvo XC40 recharge? Great review. Love the outfit!!😍
I had a test drive in the X2 M35i petrol and its great.
I'm 6ft and there's plenty of room in the back.
I was expecting a very hard drive with 21inch wheels but it was fine on some very bad roads.
My advice is test drive it yourself.
Don't buy electric unless your happy to lose 50% our more over two years as I have just found out.
The dealer at the time of my test drive had taken 5 orders for the x2 on that day.
I don't think BMW is too worried about negative reviews.
Interesting that the dealer had taken so many orders. I think the new X2 will sell well. People will make up their own mind when they see them in the showrooms.

It look nice inside and looks like ut could be high quality. Howevee I was recently in a BMW 5 Series Edrive abd hace to say tge quality in that was dissapointing. It was a 2017 car but the doir cards felt hard tge dash was ok and it looked nice but that was it . This was a €60,000 Euro car in 2017. I have sat in Passats with better nicer feeling door cards and Kias too.
Can’t get past the design of this thing. The previous one looked good, especially from the back in m sport spec
As a old school Beemer guy, I've always said that worst with these modern BM shittery's are bumbers. Nasty and cheap looking. My Z3 and E36 coupe drives in different level. Daily drivers nowadays are Hyundai EV and Mazda. More than 30 years Beemer guy but too cheap interior and ugly exterior was getaway.

for me the BMW M35i X2 its more M than the M Sport plus a lot cheeper £59.485 iX2 is a whopping £68.045 I left out the sound system tow bar and power cables as im a racing driver the M35i
string wheel im sick of people talking about a thick wheel people like me and Jackie Stewart racing drivers, explained this to Ford when they were building the RS 2000 I need a thick wheel because you become part of the car Jackie Stewart explained this to Ford when they were building the RS 2000 its all about the 4 arms that gives you the feel
iv told dealers to add a personal configuration into the settings where you pick happier steering this will also stop people complaining about the steering, been too light
First of all, I don't like this BMW. The previous model was better design to me with the BMW logo at the rear door. This model is more high-tech on the interior and a hybrid. That's all they have going for them really.They're loosing their way for a long time and I don't think they're that relevant anymore. You look really good sitting behind the steering with your shades on top your head Tish, you sold the BMW for BMW. Great review as always.👏👍👏👍👏👍.

Hmmm. Can’t say I could live with that styling - it looks like they’ve gone to the parts bin and just cobbled it together. Pity, I’m sure it drives great and the interior is lovely. However, the money they want for a car this size is a bit ridiculous.
The whole thing is a piece of crap. It's nothing like a true BMW should be.
A marmite car, but I have to say the colour seems to make a huge difference. Most other UK reviews are the red iX2 and I have to say it's ugly, but the Portimao Blue in this vid really works. The front bottom grill is a bit OTT.
I have seen this in the showroom and have to say it's much better in the flesh.

The car looks nice apart from the front bottom. Yr right it is horrendous and back bottom not much better. Seems like they just run out of ideas and stuck to blk trays on.

X2 just looks wrong...
I tested this car, im 188cm and sitting in the backseat was a nightmare. Of all the cars Ive tried to sit in the back seat, this bmw is by far the worst one. I had to tilt my head almost 90degrees to the side to fit my head😂
Gross design.
It's soo unprofessional ... that my only explanation is that their design department is forced to do such ugly cars ... and the managers are forced to aprove them into production ... with the secret goal to drive BMW into bankruptcy ... 🤔
BMW used to make well designed attractive , cars with some of the best dials and switchgear in the business. No longer.

I don't need your opinion on car designs in a like/dislike manner. Especially since I'm not fond of your clothing style, it seems we don't share the same sense of aesthetics.
