Hi Dacob! I want to thank you for keeping me from spending $5,500.00 yesterday. Your video is oh so true. I was in a fashion boutique in Neiman Marcus in King of Prussia Pennsylvania and the SA showed me the exact same 22 bag, black with gold hardware and CHANEL was in white. I told him about the problems with the bag and he DENIED the whole thing. "I've sold a lot of these and they have never had a problem and come back, " he said. Hmmm...........Yeah, right. He also said "You can't put a lot of stuff in this bag and he pointed to my LV Neverful that was i carrying. So what do we do? Weigh everything we put in the bag? LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So he said that if the leather peeled, it was because of the weight and "people just put too much stuff in it:" the manager, also said that most of the bags we see on TH-cam are fake, so not to worry! I also gave them my damaged tweed, sequinned bag for repair. I know I know! She said I'd have it back in about 10 weeks. Yeah, right. With all the trouble you and Romina have had, I really have no hope that his bag will EVER be right! If you need any more information than this! All a lost cause as far as I am concerned If you want to add this to your content, you certainly have my permission because all I can say at this point is BUYER BEWARE!

She told me not to watch youtube because in her words, "You just can't trust what you see." And I said to her: "what do you mean? that the bags could be fakes?" And she said "yes. we pride ourselves on our wonderful craftsmanship and Chanel's impecable quality." LOL! However, the SA that took me to the mirror so I could see the bag on my shoulder told me that the "bag is too new to make a fake!" Go figure. They contradicted each other. It made no sense to me. I then went down the Mall to Louis Vuitton where I met a great SA and told her the story She said she had heard very bad things about Chanel from various customers of hers and one disgruntled Chanel customer came to her and now buys from Louis Vuitton. Sighs........awful experience but at least I was saved and your content is worth a thousand words! I saved so much money and grief because of it!
She seems like a very passive, non confrontational person (her culture may very well be very different than mine lol). I think your outspokenness helps a lot of people. Maybe even her. She sounds like a very careful type who worries about offending others or getting kicked out as a Chanel customer. IMO.
That's why I actually have unfollowed her channel. She makes it sound normal to spend thousands of dullars in purchasing new stuff, but it's not. These mega hauls with 10+ products in the back, how can you still value that? Wish her all the best, she's wealthy, she shows it off, by all means, that's fine. Not addressing a problem on social media, rather going there in person - being lied to - yet doing a video on social media. But how can addressing quality flaws to a brand be shady? The brand should acknowledge their customer reports and even more so their quality problems and not just ignore and cover them up. Money money money. Profit over profit. Brands like Chanel simply DO NOT CARE. Why should they? When million people continue to buy their products without stepping up if there are any flaws. You did well by showing it off, along with Romina. This had to be addressed by all means.

I did watch Charis's video recently, although it is quite late into the talk about the obvious defects of Chanel22 bag, I do think that she generally didn't really dive into her own one to check properly and probably didn't really use that bag a lot to keep checking on whether she found any problems with it (I mean she has so many bags, she doesn't really get a lot of use out of any of them enough to show a lot of defects I presume by looking at her collection). And to be fair I don't feel like she's been purposely "hiding" this defect knowing it happened to hers either. In general, after watching her videos for a number of years, she has always been a very laid back non aggressive person and generally stays away from drama, so I don't think she had any ill intentions here.

Yeah no disrespect to her but I just can’t get behind her content. The level of wealth she has is unrealistic for an average person. For me, and most people purchasing “luxury” it is just that. A luxury. I might get an insanely luxuriously priced bag once a year and I will cherish it and love it and hopefully never want to sell it for sentimental reasons. Watching someone over consume and the gluttony of celebrities and influencers is unattractive to me.

I will be honest, I have never really seen Charis complain about quality issues like this before. If she ever did, the entire luxury community will hear this as she’s one of the biggest luxury youtuber here and I’m sure it will have a ripple effect on Chanel’s reputation. She’s not one to raise alarms on quality issues but if she ever did, Chanel be damned! I wouldn’t be too concern when others complain about their bags but for her… I will be concern about Chanel’s quality issues because she’s non confrontational and not the type to make a big fuss.
I have had Chanel 22 small size since Mar 2022. I like to use it in the weekend. I did not carry many stuffs inside. I remember that 1 corner leather started to peel off in the first month. Now, already 4 corners peel off, the same area with her. 😂😂😂

Dacob, I don't think Charis was trying to shade you or any other luxury vlogger. This nice and generous lady has three kids and she's always doing something for her family -- because of that, she tends to keep her circle small. I think her introduction was done merely to show respect to other Chanel fans in her channel like she always does.
Then this lady needs to work on her delivery because that delivery was not professional to say the least. And also, not letting her subscribers know for almost a year that the bag she first unboxed and raved about on her channel actually had major flaws is shady towards her viewers in my opinion. I bought a lambskin WOC a few years ago and it was such poor quality leather.😔 I got very depressed with it. Definitely a complete waste of my money. The side gussets were so thin and flimsy they wrinkled up within a few times of wear. When i think of all the beautiful bags i could have gotten for the same price as that flimsy WOC!!
Their prices get me too. I think of all the other better bags I could have gotten for the fraction of the price of what they demand for their stuff… its just painful..
@@SuperDacobacob last week my son returned his newish canvas LV belt he got for Christmas. He had gotten the most expensive one and it was supposedly reversable. The leather side started wrinkling and peeling around the belt notches. He works from home and said he had only worn it 4 times but didnt want to upset anyone by mentioning it. We took it back and LV SA said their system doesn't say that anyone has ever had an issue with it before. Tried to say as the canvas shrinks this can occur.🤦♀️ They finally took it back disgruntally for store credit but we couldn't find anything for same price so he ended up buying a bag and paying the difference.🤦♀️

I’m torn by luxury. I get what it feels like to take part it in. It’s the emotion you get from buying something well put together from a relatively exclusive place. At the same time I know she could commission a bag from a load of artists for that price. It would be one of a kind and probably better quality.
It didn’t use to be this way though… there was a time when the quality of luxury brands was unquestionable. Just the mere idea of something like a Chanel bag failing 20 min after being removed from the showroom floor was absolutely unheard of . And IF it did, the lightening speed at which the issue would have been rectified with the company’s deepest apologies, a complimentary new dust bag and returned to you in a brand new box and tissue (because presentation is everything) would have made your head spin. Times they have changed !!!

Lack of transparency indeed. Not bag related but in one of her vlogs (years ago) she was on holiday and ate out a lot, as you do. Several people in the comments asked about one restaurant in particular that her family ate at so I replied to one of those comments, giving its details as I too knew of it. My comment was deleted and she never answered those that asked. When her original SA left LV to work at Tiffany she suddenly began showing many Tiffany purchases and LV fell by the wayside for a while. I suspect, like many a TH-camr, she gives favourable details only on companies that reward her in some way and not out of the goodness of her heart.

She told me not to watch youtube because in her words, "You just can't trust what you see." And I said to her: "what do you mean? that the bags could be fakes?" And she said "yes. we pride ourselves on our wonderful craftsmanship and Chanel's impecable quality." LOL! However, the SA that took me to the mirror so I could see the bag on my shoulder told me that the "bag is too new to make a fake!" Go figure. They contradicted each other. It made no sense to me. I then went down the Mall to Louis Vuitton where I met a great SA and told her the story She said she had heard very bad things about Chanel from various customers of hers and one disgruntled Chanel customer came to her and now buys from Louis Vuitton. But how can addressing quality flaws to a brand be shady? The brand should acknowledge their customer reports and even more so their quality problems and not just ignore and cover them up. I did watch Charis's video recently, although it is quite late into the talk about the obvious defects of Chanel22 bag, I do think that she generally didn't really dive into her own one to check properly and probably didn't really use that bag a lot to keep checking on whether she found any problems with it (I mean she has so many bags, she doesn't really get a lot of use out of any of them enough to show a lot of defects I presume by looking at her collection). And to be fair I don't feel like she's been purposely "hiding" this defect knowing it happened to hers either. In general, after watching her videos for a number of years, she has always been a very laid back non aggressive person and generally stays away from drama, so I don't think she had any ill intentions here.

Yeah no disrespect to her but I just can’t get behind her content. The level of wealth she has is unrealistic for an average person. For me, and most people purchasing “luxury” it is just that. A luxury. I might get an insanely luxuriously priced bag once a year and I will cherish it and love it and hopefully never want to sell it for sentimental reasons. Watching someone over consume and the gluttony of celebrities and influencers is unattractive to me.

I have had Chanel 22 small size since Mar 2022. I like to use it in the weekend. I did not carry many stuffs inside. I remember that 1 corner leather started to peel off in the first month. Now, already 4 corners peel off, the same area with her. 😂😂😂

Dacob, I don't think Charis was trying to shade you or any other luxury vlogger. This nice and generous lady has three kids and she's always doing something for her family -- because of that, she tends to keep her circle small. I think her introduction was done merely to show respect to other Chanel fans in her channel like she always does.
Then this lady needs to work on her delivery because that delivery was not professional to say the least. And also, not letting her subscribers know for almost a year that the bag she first unboxed and raved about on her channel actually had major flaws is shady towards her viewers in my opinion. I bought a lambskin WOC a few years ago and it was such poor quality leather.😔 I got very depressed with it. Definitely a complete waste of my money. The side gussets were so thin and flimsy they wrinkled up within a few times of wear. When i think of all the beautiful bags i could have gotten for the same price as that flimsy WOC!!
Their prices get me too. I think of all the other better bags I could have gotten for the fraction of the price of what they demand for their stuff… its just painful..
@@SuperDacobacob last week my son returned his newish canvas LV belt he got for Christmas. He had gotten the most expensive one and it was supposedly reversable. The leather side started wrinkling and peeling around the belt notches. He works from home and said he had only worn it 4 times but didnt want to upset anyone by mentioning it. We took it back and LV SA said their system doesn't say that anyone has ever had an issue with it before. Tried to say as the canvas shrinks this can occur.🤦♀️ They finally took it back disgruntally for store credit but we couldn't find anything for same price so he ended up buying a bag and paying the difference.🤦♀️

I’m torn by luxury. I get what it feels like to take part it in. It’s the emotion you get from buying something well put together from a relatively exclusive place. At the same time I know she could commission a bag from a load of artists for that price. It would be one of a kind and probably better quality.
It didn’t use to be this way though…
there was a time when the quality of luxury brands was unquestionable. Just the mere idea of something like a Chanel bag failing 20 min after being removed from the showroom floor was absolutely unheard of . And IF it did, the lightening speed at which the issue would have been rectified with the company’s deepest apologies, a complimentary new dust bag and returned to you in a brand new box and tissue (because presentation is everything) would have made your head spin.

Lack of transparency indeed. Not bag related but in one of her vlogs (years ago) she was on holiday and ate out a lot, as you do. Several people in the comments asked about one restaurant in particular that her family ate at so I replied to one of those comments, giving its details as I too knew of it. My comment was deleted and she never answered those that asked. When her original SA left LV to work at Tiffany she suddenly began showing many Tiffany purchases and LV fell by the wayside for a while. I suspect, like many a TH-camr, she gives favourable details only on companies that reward her in some way and not out of the goodness of her heart.
