Your biggest failure was doing cute stuff against an opponent who had his scout very active. Seeing early stone warranted more aggressive scouting of your own, too. Had you discovered the early expo when it was still being built you could have punished much earlier.
This is incredible. You have such an enjoyable play style. I haven’t been into AoE since I don’t even remember. Super excited to get back with this. New to the channel and stuck for life.
The Abbasid camel archers actually have a big bonus dmg modifier vs spearmen specifically! So its actually a really bad idea to mass spearmen against them. I know HRE is an infantry faction but id definitely not rely too much on spears vs Abbasids
Awesome game! I think the wood macro was the drop, having 2x keep both going with uber repairs can tank a lot better than one keep. I think the idea to go for the center ASAP wasn't a bad choice at all! GG, I can't wait to see more!
just played some aoe2 again. always used to struggle as a kid but after laddering starcraft2 for a while it was easy to get into and the multiplayer or skirmishes still hold up. really amped for this game i hope they nail it.
I love these vids man. I’m so hyped!!! Can you please do tutorials? Not like super build orders. I know those take a crazy amount of work. More just like how YOU play. Grouping, controls, micro, macro. You just have a smooth play style with a good balance of how you play the game controls wise. Teach us your wayss 😅

I can't really put my finger on it, but aoe4 is a great viewing experience. Relaxing yet intense at the same time. Think the great audiomixing in aoe4 (besides the bell) is a real underappreciated aspect for the viewing experience.

Instead of going 14 vils on gold you could consider building relic landmark that triples relic gold income. Three relics in that sucker give you 900 gold/min hands-free. Also building farms around the inspiration landmark even inefficient ones would give you 40% food production at the cost of 1 extra pop for the monk in the landmark. With this your eco would be powered up and leave a ton of room for you to mass wood production and get a lot more than 5 barracks from your landmark. Just a thought.
From 15:00 to 17:20 your main army on top of the hill was was doing nothing, essentially acting as "tactical reserves" as you might put it. If I may armchair strategist, the army could've been better utilized to scout, control, and constrain the enemy. Even if it didn't do any damage, forcing the opponent to defend when he really needed to be on offense would've given you the time you needed to win. Obviously hard to play perfect when you're actually playing the game though I enjoyed the game though, and hearing your thoughts on your plans and and your thoughts and reactions on the enemy
Not really pertinent to this video; but I am kinda curious: I watched a game by Trump (the Hearthstone streamer) here on youtube and he used his scout to corall the animals from a nearby hunting area close to the starting keep to gather the food from them that way. Is that a worthwhile endeavour?
The devs did it on the showmatch as well. GiveUAnxiety is also very on point with his scout micro. Seems like it can pay off, for sure. I saw his HRE game where he went fast castle into knights, with the super abbey thing on age 3, super cool

I wonder if with the prelate it is better to go all food into all gold for a while. With inspiration giving +40% increase to carrying capacity alongside the bonus to gathering rate you would need 2 trips of 8 vills. BTW, the prelate can inspire 10 vills at a time max: th-cam.com/video/Qrw_kKXj9JE/w-d-xo.html Edit: that also means 11 vills + a prelate gather exactly 300 stone in 2 trips. The prelate having a 3 seconds reload time between inspiring might mess up the maths a little, but after the first 30 seconds he keeps the buff up indefinitely on 10 vills.

dunno what youcouldhave done here. Maybe gone more heavy into inf and bumrushed the trebuchets? The camel archers got pretty low damage output so maybe it would have worked.
early man at arms pressure could have been good as well, since he was super greedy. man at arms with range armor can dive tcs to kill workers, and are super obnoxious overall
Why dosent the bell in TC have an option anymore as in Aoe2? So that the workers go inside when beeing attacked? Why just blue as color?!?!?! Where are the other Team colors to select? I want Green..some art are to Op imo

Very good gameplay, the enemy player has the boom advantage since camels can get water from almost anything so less recourses invested in them XD.
