Coke is actually pretty good when you use it in a marinade for BBQ foods like brisket and ribs. The acidity helps the meat tenderize while also adding a bit of sweetness from the syrup.
Dr pepper would work just fine, as that's a legitimate recipe for making teriyaki jerky. Just add a little smoke flavoring to it and you have teriyaki.😁
With Tyler's description I now honestly want pickle flavor jerky. I know he hates pickles but dang if his description of what he was tasting peak my desire to try some. Delicious.
In this episode Tyler learns that good beef jerky isn't made by marinating beef in one ingredient, but many ingredients! :) Love ya, Tyler! Keep making the good shit like you do!

Do a part 2 but with: honey, maple syrup, beer, the juice that sardines come in, beef or chicken broth, milk, sprite cranberry since it’s almost Thanksgiving/Christmas. Since you liked the lemon juice so much try lemonade, I think the tangy and sweet tastes will work, and wine.
Try using the Ramen, Soy sauce, and a bit of the hot sauce. I would also suggest using honey, but be sure to add salt. Marinade really needs salt and acid to be effective, so you could try some of these again but add salt to them.
Why would you add salt when beef jerky is already salty and a ramen packet is your daily intake of salt and then to add honey when soy sauce is already your binder
Pffft, 24 hours. I let my meats marinate for three or four days most of the time before I toss them into my dehydrator. It's so good that way. Additionally, Frank's is one of my go-to sauces with my jerky.
I had that wallet for a bit it was nice. Kind of hard to get your cards in and out but it was fine after a while. The bad thing was it was slowly ripping holes in the back pocket of my jeans and eventually before i realized the corners were hanging out

There are many pickled foods. Any sort of vegetable, fruit, different meats, eggs, and so on can be pickled. I challenge you to the quest of finding a pickled food you actually enjoy! Hot Dogs are excellent to pickle, you can just use water, vinegar, salt and minced garlic for those.
Pickled onion, and pickled brussel sprouts are two that i enoy. Whole eggs with whole jalapenos mixed together are also pretty good if youre into spicy stuff
I had a tower jerky maker one time I put to much bbq sauce on the meat and when it got real hot in the smoker it melted the plastic grates off each level of the smoker it was wonderful!
To make a good beef marinade you need something salty like soy sauce or ramen seasoning, something sweet like a jelly, something acidic like orange juice or lemon/lime and something with a strong flavor like garlic or hot sauce. You mix them together in roughly equal amounts and then the garlic is to taste.

Mix it up! All the stuff that was good: lemon juice, teriyaki, ramen seasoning, and hot sauce. Of course, you don't have to run the experiment to know that will be good. You need salt, acid, and fat to make a good marinade. The lemon juice provides the acid (though I also like apple cider vinegar), the ramen provides the salt, and the meat itself provides the fat with a bit more provided by the hot sauce. Then you have spicy, sweet, and savory flavors on top of that salty base. There's no way it could go wrong.
