Not really, it's quite mediocre by Chris Huelsbeck standards. It sounds like so many other NES games. Chris would likely use the 7 bit PCM to play the Amiga version of the title theme. And would use far more PCM in general. On a PAL NES 7 bit PCM is much more doable with a CPU cycle counting IRQ mapper, so even during gameplay it would be viable.
There is something strange, they used some type of special chip, I also don't see slowdown or flicker which is very classic in NES games and even flickering. The audio sounds very good, the NES uses a very basic sound. What did they do to a chip to make a total upgrade?
Pretty sure this is a modern remake, so they "cheated" a little bit. A lot of retro indie games do this and it's a turnoff for me. Sprites way too big, too many animation frames, no framerate drops or flicker. And the difference in sound, yes. I just got this game and for all its polish, it's lacking that NES charm.
@@danieltrevino6485 You don't know what you're talking about, this is running on an NES emulator and can also run on a real console. It's using the same chips they were using back in the late 80s/early 90s.
This has to be one of the best running animations on the NES. It looks incredible.
What a great looking NES game. Chris Hulsbeck's legendary soundtrack sounds good as well!

This dude's like Duke Nukem...saving the babes.
Excellent walkthrough. Did you use emulator tools to achieve or did you play normally?
Amazing game!
Looks more playable than that ridiculous SNES version. How many megabits?
Best looking NES game? 😮

I see that the soundtrack is based on the SNES version, not the Amiga version.

Чет не помню я такой игры на nes , выглядит здорово , на игру с 16 битной платформы смахивает.
Мне больше напомнило игры с аудиокассет(спектрум,Синклер,атари....Уж непомни,как все эти аппараты назывались
