Props where its due👏🏽👏🏽 not many people explain the functionality of why you're placing the redstone here and a comparator there, a short, yet very informative, straight to the point tutorial, we love to see it, definitely earned a sub🙌🏽
If you put a hopper above a detector rail, it would power the hopper thus locking it. Unless you use a hopper minecart which would just suck out the items anyway.
Thank you for the tutorials on these! I am using #4, but the minecart doesn't stop at the loader anymore. it just picks up 2 items and zooms away - how can I fix this?
On my 1.19.2 world the Optimized version kind of works but at the same time it does not... When I load the hopper turns on the power rail, and when I unload it, un-power the power riel
I built the second one item loader and it worked for a while but has suddenly stopped working, seems to not take off when it’s full and on the way back gets stuck on the detector. Any ideas to fix? I tried rebuilding it the same way and still not working
And tour optimized design doesn't work either. If theres items in the hopper/chest, the powerd rail is on and the cart just bounces out. Also the design locks the hopper and prevents items moving into it from the chest. All I want is a design that puts items into a minecart with hopper and releases it, but no design I find works as advertised. The design also needs to work; 1. if theres already items in the hopper. 2. Release the minecart onces its full/or the hopper is empty. 3. Not be overly complicated. Theres lots of unloader deisgns, but I need an automatic loader to put loot from a mob farm into a mincart and send it to the surface.
@@smartin.minecraft Yeah I'm on bedrock. Not sure what the issue is, they just don't work as advertised. Anyway I altered the system on my farm to use a water system instead. Faster and more efficient, prevents the hoppers from clogging on my sorter and I just extended it to a bubble elevator.
Most videos are for java, not bedrock, redstone and a lot of other mechanics are way different on bedrock and sometimes quite strange :/ But you're right, a water system is faster... but also laggier if there are too many items cause every single item is an entity while otherwise a minecart is just one. But for short distances + item sorter it makes sense 👌🏻
Last build isnt good. It only works if the minecart is completely full. After one pass it stays in the loading area. Tried to use this to load my auto smelter. It doesnt work. Sometimes you dont need to smelt more than 3-4 stacks. 1.20.1
there is something that bothers me: the cart keeps running around and makes noise, is there a way to make a system that works like this? the cart is stopped waiting for items, and I put some items in the trunk above the funnel and the cart will only leave if there are no items to give it
"the cart will only leave if there are no items to give it" ...this is exactly whats happening all the time... So the redstone circuit needs to do something like: if there are items inside AND if there are no items left to load into -> send the minecart, the thing that makes this really hard is that the minecart should also get sent it it is fully loaded or there are no more items of the same type to fit into... I think this isnt possible :/
i have set up number 3 exactly as it is here but the powered rail is always on. i am only needing it for one material type but i don't have a lot of room and it is the only one the is one block wide
I've created something like this, but it was kinda a pain. Basically I had a three way junction, one path was the loader, one path was the farm, and the other path was a buffer. On every side there is a detector rail that connects to a comparator/repeater setup, and all of these connect to the junction rail. When the cart sends any signal at all, it changes the rail to enter the buffer zone, and it just goes back to the farm. But when it's empty, it doesn't send a signal and it goes back to the loader. Takes a lot of messing around with timing on repeaters.
It did work in my 1.19.3 world. I suspect you're chest minecart just wasn't filled to the brim. He only explained that on the "fast + 1 Item Type" design, which works the same way.
@@smartin.minecraft hello for me the second build the torch on top of the comparator gets disabled when a minecart arrives and never turns on again thus blocking the minecart permanently i checked that theres no second item so having 1 type of item its fully filled but wont work could u have any ideas or experience with that?
@@arslanemre4100 the torch should turn on when the minecart is fully loaded... you can try rightclicking the comparator, so that the little torch is on, does it work this way? 🤔
As I learn more about redstone it’s hard trying to figure out functionality. Great video helped me a lot with my mega kelp farm. Thanks!

What would be best for a bedrock edition super smelter loader?
well the cart keeps getting stuck behind the hopper afther the second run?

is there a way to have the hopper minecart only reload when completely empty?
I am not exactly sure what you mean by that...
@@smartin.minecraft i think he means the minecart should drive its cycle and if the minecart is empty than its stay at the loading station

is there a way to dispense a new cart after the first one leaves??
Yeah, there are many ways tho I wouldnt dispense it directly into the loader...
