Amen! The music industry should be slapped silly for that crap they have on the radios nowadays, all the while bypassing true talent all over the world!
He is SO AMAZINGLY TALENTED...Singer. Songwriter. Musician. Why he is not more praised and rewarded for his talents, I will never understand....He, Shawn Colvin, Joan Osborne, Eva Cassidy (RIP), etc...and SO MANY MORE like them...true storytellers and magicians...💕💕💕🎩🎩🔮🔮🔮
You done song with wisdom to the original artist's song, this song mean's alot to me.And see sung this well, tribute to the person/artist/etc.The best version of this song ever !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! peace to all.rebcargo
I love you Shawn, been following you for 10 years now and I agree, you are getting better with age...you sing from the soul, nothing nicer, you have given me some awesome soundtrack memories, I love you man...........
Came across his name on a list of someone's music collection on another site. Definitely glad I looked him up. Great musician and performs this song very well.
MMMMMMMMMMMMM.. GOD I MISS SONS OF ANARCHY !!!!!!!!!! WILL PROBABLY BUY ALL SEASONS AND WATCH AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ...WHEN HE RAMBLES FROM TOWN TO TOWN.........DAMN
Brilliant. He could be HUGE if he wanted. He was very, very popular years ago but he prefers being a little less observed. I'd still say he's famous, though. I was in my dorm and mentioned him and everyone - pretty unrelated - happened to know him. He's famous enough to know he has done a good job. My favorite song ever written is Lullaby (Acoustic). So soothing.
He's not more well-known because he chooses not to be. He prefers small labels to big labels, where he has more creative control, and he actually LIKES playing small venues. He's happy doing what he's doing and it keeps his music true to who he is.
. ive seen JT, Jackson Browne, Willie Nelson, SRV, Bonnie Raitt, Colin Hay, Marshall Crenshaw, Glen Hansard, John Mayer... all great! but SM is my fav. if you've seen SM and found another guitar player that's better... please share cuz I wanna see them too
This version is very similar to Dylan's (Dylyn did it before the Animals and he copied it from another folk group, etc. etc.). Nevertheless, it's more true to how the song used to be sung. I like the animals version, but this one is nice as well.
It's been 16 years and I still can't find a better version of this song.
ONE OF THEE MOST UNDER-RATED ACOUSTIC GUITAR PLAYER / SINGER OF OUR GENERATION
Amen! The music industry should be slapped silly for that crap they have on the radios nowadays, all the while bypassing true talent all over the world!
Love to hear him do Roads to Moscow by Al Stewart.
I absolutely do agree with that! If only he would visit Amsterdam once I would be even more happy :-)
5GreatDays WithHim Shawn will be remembered as one of our generation’s best song writers. And ya, his acoustic guitar playing is incredible.
He is so amazing...saw him play a couple of years ago. ..
NOBODY has ever done this song like this. This is the best ever.

Shawn Mullins is themost underated performer that I have ever known of.

Shawn, my man what a performance!!! You are among the best. The cream of the crop.
The way he meshes the rhythm guitar with the vocals is exquisite.
Flipping fantastic Shawn.

Awesome! Best version Ever!! What a talent 🎵On a side note: he looks and sounds a lot like James Hetfield of Metallica 😁👍🏻
Shawn Mullins, I want you tocome to my town, Please. come to Des Moines, Iowa. We have a great venue for you...please come here.
come to my town please.

@Dave29671 It's like he puts himself as the character of the story and tells it through his eyes, such awesome raw talent.
What a great interpretation of this song!Is there anybody who can give me the chords of the interlude between the verses?
@keepon9 check out lucero, they play a nice kinda dirty southern rock sound, some acoustic, some more rock sounding, but a really great band.
Shawn Mullins nice cover, The Animals is my favourite, however this is a close second. Well done.
Come here please.
Dave in DSM
. ive seen JT, Jackson Browne, Willie Nelson, SRV, Bonnie Raitt, Colin Hay, Marshall Crenshaw, Glen Hansard, John Mayer... all great! but SM is my fav. if you've seen SM and found another guitar player that's better... please share cuz I wanna see them too
Hands down, no question, #1 acoustic version of this I've ever watched...raping the replay button
Nobody has EVER done it this well. And all he's got is a guitar.
👈🤠☝️
Most similar to the Dylan version. Excellent.
@ljgsuper John Butler is a damn good guitar player.
is that a jumbo hummingbird?
Don't let me
this is one of my fav songs of all time by the animals. shawn does a okay job. THE ANIMALS!!! do it better.
These are the actual lyrics.
This version is very similar to Dylan's (Dylyn did it before the Animals and he copied it from another folk group, etc. etc.). Nevertheless, it's more true to how the song used to be sung. I like the animals version, but this one is nice as well.
Nobody has ever done this as well.
He puts Eric Burton and the Animals to shame.
The best version of this song was actually recorded in 1967 by "The Monkeys" LOL
Get out! I'm going to check it out
it is one of the first recordings of this song but no one knows who made the original song itself.all others are a cover
Somebody must know
Think so, what you sang b😀😀
You mean when Jimmy Hendrix was their opening band?
he kinda looks like James Hetfield of Metallica hahaha
Who cares?
