- You may remember my video on the original Ansuzalgiz (ᚨᛉ) Hummingbird. It was an early solenoid-powered flywheeler and made with standard grip and stock components to help with ergonomics. This blaster had its quirks and pitfalls. But, In a time before angled mags and before the Neutron Solenoid, the Hummingbird was still a blaster to be reckoned with.
The Hummingbird Gen 2 keeps all the good and sluffs off the bad, with some surprises in store too. with angled mag support, full-auto as an option, reduced form factor, and more, it's hard not to give a whole-hearted recommendation

The autosear is a super neat concept! Love how this blaster looks and performs! A worthy successor to the original hummingbird!

@@equizzix4804 I have a feeling it's like a rapid strike two switch system.
I love mine, I converted it to brushless with select fire and a screen. The neutron is an amazing piece of tech. The hummingbird is quickly becoming my favorite blaster. It is unbelievably compact and solid.

This form factor with select fire, even if it was just semi auto and full auto would be wild. I don't think my trigger finger could handle having access to that rate of fire at all times!
I put a neutron in a gryphon and it’s pretty slick.
i bought one myself and it arrived a week ago. it’s beautiful! i’m trying to figure out if worker gen3 or bamboo darts work best. but man, what a work of art that kicks butt. so glad I got it. and as you said, I paired it with a Nightingale. awesome review
How long did it take to come in?
@@michaelsolberg3330 took 2-3 weeks if i remember right. i’d also order an extra bag of pins/ fasteners (available on the website store) as sometimes those pins can wiggle loose

would love to see a mod to add support for nightingale mags, I currently have 4 that only see use in my nightingale. I love the size and feel of them compared to regular angled talons and if it can support both that would be even better

What's stopping anyone from just not attaching the buffer tube? I feel like it wouldn't be too terribly difficult to modify the cage for smaller flywheels to lower the profile and then you have a Kestrel update.

I know zero about moddin blasters, but it occurs to me you could make the stock a magazine as well. Maybe a valve to select which direction the feed comes from?

I wish there different cage gap sizes. I mainly play HvZ, so the FPS cap is typically 130
Luke, my plunger head on my proud papa broke and you don’t have a replacement part. what should I do? because I don’t wanna spend 20 or $28 to get a replacement. Though when it was working I loved it.

it would be nice if (as a second gen improvement) it had variable rate of fire and variable fps.I mean this is like gen 1, only smaller.
Printing that barrel at a 45* angle with no supports sucked. Even with painted on supports in prusaslicer on a mk3s+ I can't get it perfect. Other than that, printing was smooth. No reviews have shown how the rail and buttstock slide on. I thought that was the most impressive design aspect. Timmy must be an engineer. I still need to assemble it though.
What infill are you using?
.... That means you could, in theory, make a mechanical Selector switch from Full to Semi-Automatic.
That, and the option of a folding Stock would be the 2 things I want.
So, the mechanical Selector would just disengage the switch that enables the solenoid to keep cycling.
It would be a beast with a half dart drum mag
This might sound stupid but what is the nerf 50 round drum mag was cut in half for half length darts

Doesn't the Momentum use straight talons at an angle? How come that isn't a problem for that blaster?
Also, because of the way the full auto works in this blaster, it is insanely easy to wire in a select fire switch.
Momentum uses straight talons, but they feed straight into the flywheels. There is no dart realignment in the Momentum.
@@outofdarts Oh another question. Does the momentum have a power switch, or do the escs boot up as soon as you plug in the battery?

Yes you can add an on off on switch, one side by passes the auto seer setup and and the other enables it.
You can direct wire the solenoid to the flywheel circuit and go dakka all day. My gryphon is semi auto solenoid and It feels like an arcade cabinet game like Terminator 2.
