A feature a lot of people miss is that on the beginning of the barrel, right in front of the magazine well, there's a small indent. Worker includes a sticker that goes on there that has a bar code, the serial number of your blaster, and the date of manufacture. Mine was 1/1/23.

If I had to start an armoury from the ground up, the: Phoenix 2.0, Nightingale, and Harrier would be a solid starting point, especially with the cohesive design language.

Very true, and it’s a little unfortunate. But the mag types make sense, and if you think about it, nerf is really the only hobby that uses magazines where you can expect to have wide compatibility anyway for your mags anyway, so its still better than airsoft or real steel where basically everything is proprietary

    • @OZTutoh
      @OZTutoh ปีที่แล้ว +1

You could get a Kirin Type-A with the slanted talon conversion kit. That would use the same mags at the Phoenix 2.0.
Nightingales can be converted to full-auto, too.

The Harrier is my favorite springer to use right now, with the heavy spring and a scar hitting just below the 200fps limit of some nearby clubs. Trion play was also satisfying, but this one I *enjoyed* more. The price is high, but with how well it's made, it's easy to justify buying to have something that works, and works well.

I had my Lynx hit 1 minute 30 seconds with no noticeable air loss. It could have kept going indefinitely but too much of an air seal isn't optimal for performance so I knocked it down to 15 seconds with a slightly looser plunger head.

A lot of pros to this over other springer primaries:
+ Threaded barrels are an incredible barrel attachment method with excellent if not near perfect air seal. Clampdown barrel mounting styles are a pain in the butt.
+ Excellent out of the box air seal means you don't have to spend so much time fixing it
+ Proven plunger/pusher system (copying the caliburn, talonclaw, etc)
+ 2 part detachment system makes cleaning/lubing/repairing internal parts significantly easier and faster
+ Performance of up to 260-280 fps out of the box + easy to install upgrades means you're immediately good to go for most NIC/high-level hobby games
+ Built in hex key slot is great, more blasters should do this
But there's a few cons worth of note:
    - Threaded barrels means you can only currently use worker's barrels. Most likely the Jet Blaster barrels, which are threaded as well, will not work. Maybe someone out there will make custom barrels later but my experience with the prophecy and worker LS kits tells me that their barrels are "okay". They are far from the best the hobby is offering.
    - Straight talons only. Man I wish they at least sold an angled talon version so I can use this with my phoenix 2.0 and not worry about what mags I'm pulling out.
    - Unless worker has upgraded their o-rings in their springers lately, I've had terrible experiences getting worker o-rings to lube up properly, especially with silicon grease. The worker lithium grease is also IMO not worth your time and is of poor quality. From the video it looks like the rubber buffer on the front of the plunger might be silicon based, since it looks similar to older worker buffers. The o-rings don't look like silicon though.
Just remember before you buy what you'll be getting into. But for the most part nearly all of the cons I've listed are addressable through hobby provided help and guides for older springer platforms.

Couple of suggestions for 3D printed pieces:
Trigger Guard Bridge: After removing the knuckleduster, the empty screw holes near the trigger guard could be used to secure a 3D printed bridge over the gap.
Grip Cap: With the knuckleduster removed, a more elegant cap to the grip could be fitted; a sling attachment option might be nice.
New styles of knuckledusters might be interesting, but I think most of us find them unnecessary. Unless those knuckledusters have clips to hold FOUR extra short darts, okay not really. Maybe.

I'm extremely impressed with this. The ease of maintenance and adaptability are huge! Also that build quality means much less upkeep or the need to upgrade parts. So, it may be triple the price of something like the Nexus Pro... But, over the long haul will actually save money. With 3 kids and myself, that's important lol.
Also, if you're like me and run games using the Nexus Pro as the base blaster...that 5 round magazine is kinda nice. This will out perform them by a fair amount, but lowering ammo capacity levels the field

I'm very excited on your video review of blaster. This was very informative and surprising. The only thing that is keeping me from buying one is the price. I told myself if I'm going to come back to the hobby just get stuff your going to use and don't start being a nerf hoarder. The other reason is that it's only talon and not cross compatible with dart zone. Yes I do run those mags and have plenty of them.

send this feedback to your contact at Worker:
I use the foregrip to pull my blaster into my shoulder when aiming. So it's important to me that it locks in position.
Additionally, lack of lock is a risk for blaster self-destruction if you pull the trigger from an open breech; and I like my gear to be Foolproof.
I expect commercial blasters to have high level features and protections like locks; especially at this price point. I understand that back in the days of DIY/modding it was popular to remove locks, but haven't we moved past that?

    Two questions!
1: Is the barrel of the looser kind, like in Dart Zone Pro blasters (i.e if you dropped a dart in, it could freely fall through)? I don't really want to have to worry about squibs if I decide to invest in this blaster...
2: How tough is the prime? I've heard the prime on the Swift is super light and smooth for the performance because of the long stroke and whatnot--is the Harrier the same?

      All good questions!
      1. I'm not in the studio to double-check, but I don't remember the darts being a loose fit, which is probably one of the reasons we couldn't get it to HvZ and Super-Stock FPS ranges (though we still have plans for that).
      2. The prime is really light and smooth. It's hard to compare due to the different orientations of the pump grip, but it's at least on par with the Swift in its smoothness.

I would be fascinated to see a blaster come out that's "meant for cosplay", meaning it has a minimal form factor with easy to attach to points, essentially designing with the intent that cosplayers and other makers would buy the base blaster and add on to it to make it have the appearance of other weapons from media.

This honestly looks like an end game style thing for me. My Nerf Group goes pretty hard at 200-250 fps, so I can compete with a modded Nexus Pro and Tomcat but I get outgunned by things like the Lynx and SBL. I just don't want a 3D printed blaster, reliability is key and this seems to have it.
But I am curious, it seems like a few springs and barrels come in the box? Which ones? I believe you also said it included a plastic scar? I would love to know the specifics of the contents in the box!

While Worker designed and produced this blaster, they don't have an official retail website. However, we are an authorized US retailer of their products and handle customer service should you choose to purchase your Harrier from us.

This blaster is awesome, but I have one question. With the tight dimensions of the prime stroke and the picatinny at the front, am I limited to vertical pump grips only? Or could you feesibly attach a longer AFG on there? Say, the SBL pump grimp?

    • @OZTutoh
      @OZTutoh ปีที่แล้ว

I saw SBL and had to reply.
5:45 Looking at the Harrier at the bottom, I'd have to say absolutely no. The picatinny rail for priming is short in length and I'd say any AFG including the SBL's is going to be around 15cm long with the rail attachment point in the center.
