Absolutely LOVE this segment of MvM! So many channels do live run through that often focus too much on either the players or the board itself and neglects the other, am so glad you guys managed to find an excellent medium while providing tons of useful information along the way. Keep up the great work, you guys are absolutely THE standard of board game channels on TH-cam!
Great segment, found this to be the best representation of a game on TH-cam, feel I can purchase with confidence in knowing if a game works for me and those I play with. The first round, final discussion format is perfect. Look forward to future episodes.
Chris, thank a lot. We were definitely trying to come up with the right mix of coverage in as compact a package as possible. We're glad it's being well-received.
i know im randomly asking but does someone know a tool to log back into an Instagram account..? I somehow lost the password. I appreciate any help you can give me.
Great format. This video made it easy for me to understand what is going on in the game. I went from "oh, it's another yahtzee-like, luck-pushing dice festival" to "it's got dice rolling, yes, but that hero recruitment, power synergy aspect makes this a more interesting strategic coop." Now I'm interested in owning it... I wasn't before. Well done.
I was just considering picking this one up as I am a fan of MCU, but now that I have seen your Round One video, it sealed the deal. Thanks a bunch! :) Love the editing, overlays of the cards and dice images to explain what is going on, and the closeups of the board at times. I'm sure this was a LOT of work, Jeremy - but it came out great! Plus, the chit/chat type closeout on your thoughts at the end was the icing on the cake. Great job!
Excellent format and good commentary at the end of the session. At 30 minutes this is the near-perfect amount of time to dedicate to. Really looking forward to seeing where this whole series goes.
Yay!! I love this format!! Play-throughs are my favorite way to learn a game. I would watch you guys play through entire games, too! Thanks for more awesomeness!
Great format! I think if MvM was just Round One, Chit Chat, and 5 Things, it would be the perfect channel. Those are all so unique, you almost don't even need the traditional review/preview videos.
Great segment! Very professionally produced and relevant comments made by everyone. Would love to see more. Has this game already been released? I don’t see it on any of the Canadian online sites. Thanks!
Thanks. Jeremy's raised hands of victory demonstrate the kind of response that a good tough co-op game should provide. Your group is made up of very strong players. The opportunity for alpha gamer take-over is evident, unless all players are strong or at least co-op minded. It does look like fun.
Funny you should mention the alpha gamer thing. I don't think any of us ever felt that issue would arise with this game. While we were cooperating, we each felt like we were in control of our own team of heroes.
I am sure some of that is due to the quality and qualities of the players. However, it is great to hear that you feel the game lends itself to more focused play. Appreciate your channel and I think this new segment is great.
I'd love to see USAopoly come out with more "Rising" games in the Marvel Universe. Magneto Rising, Apocalypse Rising, Dr. Doom Rising, Galactus Rising, etc. Having a huge collectible "mini" in each game would be cool and a good selling point.
Hi. As with everyone else - Amazing format -- just what I was looking for !! But I do have ONE REPLAYABILITY QUESTION: Many have brought up the concern over repetitiveness after a few games. I'd only be playing this solo -- either one headquarters/team, or 2 double handed solo. Thoughts? (and I do go into it thinking it would be a solid dice chucker/allocation game with Card tableau building - not a deeply strategic game)
You'll probably see a bit more damage stack up on your teams with fewer players, but it might be balanced out with all the synergies you can set up on a single team of heroes.
Great play through. Question, how did you approach the team leader ability? Did you add a die for each hero with a similar hero type, or did you simply add one die no matter the number of like hero types? Hope that makes sense. Thanks again for the video.
Thanks. We added just one die. For example, Doctor Strange did NOT get another green or black die for every additional hero that would trigger that bonus. Make sense?
We might consider for future episodes of this, including the final scoring at least. We just want to try to keep the length on the shorter side so more people are inclined to watch the whole video. ;)
so at 19:36 of the video, you guys used a newly acquired bonus token too early. It didn't affect game play this time but if say the Guardians ship would have had enough damage on it to defeated it, you wouldn't have been able to save it with that bonus token.
This is a great format! Thank you so much for this video. A little worried about the dice rolling because it seems more then once you rolled for nothing. Does it happen a lot? Another question : what is the thematic reason for rolling dice to acquire heroes? Is there an explanation in the rules? Thanks! :) Love the theme! :P
Looks like fun, but I'm glad I waited till I'd seen the movie before I watched this - it didn't really spoil it, but I'm glad I waited because the game is so thematic to the movie.
I believe the first guy that went in round 2 forgot to add damage to captain america. He is in the sector that Captain America is in so Cap takes damage as well.
This certainly looks interesting. I'm almost getting an Elder Sign or Doctor Who TIme of the Daleks feel from what little bit I'm seeing, with all the dice rolling and allocation. I've always been a bit skeptical of USAopoly in the past, because I thought that they always did the cheap Monopoly knockoffs. This looks really promising, though, and makes me want to take another look at their games. I'll have to rewatch this video when I can pay closer attention and can listen to it with more volume to be sure that I'm getting the correct impression from your reactions, but I think it looks really good.
Very happy, after I got to listen to it better that you enjoyed this one. I've been wanting a good superhero game, and thus far I just haven't played one. Admittedly, I have never played Legendary or the DC Deckbuilder, but this looks like it would scratch the itch without endless expansions. This is definitely going on my wishlist, and I'll be picking this up at some point.
Super excellent game!!!!!!!!! I already decided to buy it when i didn't even know the rules of the game. But now..... I have decided another thing. Now i won't just buy the game, i will make this game a very close part of my life and the movie as well, if the movie really turns out as good as i m expecting from marvel.
Absolutely LOVE this segment of MvM!

Cool! I wish I could thumbs up your comment 100 times. Thanks for watching, and for the feedback too.
Excellent format! Excellent format! Excellent format! Did I mention that this format was excellent? MORE. OF. THIS.
I agree, James! These guys rocked the format for this type of video - kudos, MvM!
Yep, agreed
Just so we're clear, you think it's an Excellent format? Thanks a lot man! We'll be bringing more of this for sure.
No, no, no.. What he is saying is.. Excellent format!
Great work. The enlarged graphics and dice results really helps viewers to follow along. Excellent!

Glad we could shine some light on some of those details for you.

Thanks. It did take some effort, but it was a blast putting this together. Glad you liked it.
Wondered why it took you guys so long to do play throughs instead of ‘describing’. This is the best way to show what a game is like.
That's a great idea for a show. Useful for viewers but also not too long so it's easy to watch and benefit from.
That's exactly what we were shooting for with Round One. Happy to hear that it's landing well with everyone.
Thank you for doing this! We just played and kind of wish this posted first. Lol. We did one thing very wrong (assign dice).
Yeah, getting a few rules wrong on this one could make it either a lot harder, or a lot easier. How had you played it?
David Waybright - we were not allocating dice until fully resolved.
Very cool looking game and those mechanics are solid looking also.
Excellent format and good commentary at the end of the session. At 30 minutes this is the near-perfect amount of time to dedicate to. Really looking forward to seeing where this whole series goes.

Love this format! Please keep it up!!!
We will indeed.
Thanks for the video guys!!
I said GOODDAY SIR!!
I love your videos. Great quality and really in depth conversations and reviews. Thanks for putting the work in guys!

Great great great awesome i love all the new series u guys keep coming up with!
Thanks!
Love this segment, can't wait to see what other games you have on Round One.
Great segment! Very professionally produced and relevant comments made by everyone. Would love to see more. Has this game already been released? I don’t see it on any of the Canadian online sites. Thanks!
Thanks. The game is out, but I'm not sure about Canada. If it's not readily available right now, I'm sure it soon will be.
Looks interesting
Great video! It cleared up one or two things for me.
Love this segment. More please :)
For me it is the best way to determine whether I would enjoy a game or not. Going to buy this now.
Also, loved this segment - gives a good feel for the game and great having the review at the end 👍

what is inside area size of the table you are playing ? I am planning for a new table and would like to have some recomendations.
I absolutely love this new style of reviewing games! Round One for the win! Also this makes me more hyped than ever for Avengers Infinity Wars!
Hi. As with everyone else - Amazing format -- just what I was looking for !!
But I do have ONE REPLAYABILITY QUESTION:
Many have brought up the concern over repetitiveness after a few games.
I'd only be playing this solo -- either one headquarters/team, or 2 double handed solo.

How does it scale with fewer players?

Thanks. We added just one die. For example, Doctor Strange did NOT get another green or black die for every additional hero that would trigger that bonus. Make sense?
David Waybright Sure does. That is what I thought, had some discussion otherwise with my gaming group. Thank you for clarifying.
It would be nice to get the full game video :)
We might consider for future episodes of this, including the final scoring at least. We just want to try to keep the length on the shorter side so more people are inclined to watch the whole video. ;)
David Waybright Maybe an extra video for those who want to watch :)
I finally understand thank you guys!
Can't get any better of starting setup for the game. Everyone had a character of their team's color to try to recruit.
so at 19:36 of the video, you guys used a newly acquired bonus token too early. It didn't affect game play this time but if say the Guardians ship would have had enough damage on it to defeated it, you wouldn't have been able to save it with that bonus token.
Round One... I like it!
Btw, what is the brand of that beautiful gaming table?
Glad you like it. That BEAUTIFUL gaming table is from Rathskellers. It really is amazing.
Great Great Great job!!!

Please put up the entire game

I believe the first guy that went in round 2 forgot to add damage to captain america. He is in the sector that Captain America is in so Cap takes damage as well.
Also u can't use bonus tokens the turn u get them I believe, which the 3rd guy did in his second round
The way you pronounce Thanos fills me with rage.
Ha! Tomato Tomawto I suppose.
This game reminds me of Elder Sign.
Round one "AND" two
This certainly looks interesting. I'm almost getting an Elder Sign or Doctor Who TIme of the Daleks feel from what little bit I'm seeing, with all the dice rolling and allocation.
