This is my chat too. People think just because we are all black and African means we have the same opinions and laws. For example as someone who is coming from a country where the lgbt is legalised I definitely do not want to do pan Africanism with people from homophobic countries. We would clash. @Qhawe_Jameson. Open border policy will encourage an influx of immigrants to the countries that are considered developed like in the southern part of africa those countries are South Africa, Botswana and Namibia
@Marysmmiiith Eswatini is the 2nd most industrialized country in Sub Saharan Africa after South Africa 5th in Africa. Lesotho and Eswatini are above average African countries. Namibia is the 10th most industrialized country in Africa, followed by Botswana, which is number 17. With the SACU states( Botswana, Eswatini, South Africa, Lesotho, and Namibia), we already have an open borders arrangement. We are just not allowed to work but free movement of goods (trade), and people are already in place.
@LLEntertainment yes they do. They are the only countries in Africa with a fully functional customs union. Duty free trade. I imagine we'd all still stay where we are, but then they would then be able to benefit from us, their resource rich neighbours. We'd all share the pot, and let the strengths of each nation balance out the weaknesses of others. Eg, Zimbabwe's weakness is gvt corruption, but we have hella minerals, and also very educated and hard-working Zimbabweans scattered across the world. With better governance, Zim talent would return to the region and work to contribute to its' progress, and our resources would go towards enriching citizens instead of enriching certain individuals like it is now. I'm all for a united sadc if that's how we'll finally be able to get rid of our corrupt zim leaders lol

The problem is that some foreigners come to SA to commit crimes. Just last week there were 14 criminals who have been kidnapping tourists and businessmen for ransom, 4 were Zambians, 2 Taiwanese, 4 Nigerians, Chinese, Pakistanis and Somalians if I remember well. Yes SA is the most developed country in Africa yet it’s still a developing country. Most people want to experience SA but some come with bad intentions. A one Africa will never work until other countries fix themselves. People must not come to SA to milk SA or endanger us, they must come to help develop it by investing in it. But the most important thing is for them to develop their own countries. Look at what’s happening in West Africa with endless coup, imagine how that will be resolved if we were “one country”. Look at Nigeria with that Boko Haram stunts, and even now in Nigeria they are deliberately targeting Dangote’s oil refinery he even wants to sell it. We cannot be having such issues, I think trade wise we don’t have to complicate things… make it easier but for immigration it’s an issue.

Start by redefining the colonial boundaries to have as many countries as possible converging. Angola to stretch to quad boundaries of Namibia, Botswana, Zim and Zambia. Automatically we shall have movement of people and trade from Angola to Mozambique. Integration of passport and IDs on government databases on people, joint policing and after years break down the countries to semi autonomous states with same currency and flag just like USA.
A human being is self centered by nature, so its very difficult for human beings to coexist. Thats is why there is so much chaos and problems in the world. A borderless africa is almost next to impossible to implement because there is little peace in africa.
If we were not governed by selfish idiots, I would support this idea 💯 %, because it would be implemented based on analytical data of performances of each country, so you would have a base of countries that at the same level in terms of good commerce and good governance, then they go into each country and get that country to perform at the same level and when it does they incorporate it them move to the next country until all of them are in one body. Borderless Africa simply means every country is it's own sovereign state with its own governing body and laws but there is free movement of people and goods. Obviously it does not make sense to maintain borders made by colonialists in this day and age.

@@pinkCulture. And what you have said is very true. The problem is Africans in the so-called good countries for the most part do not travel so their view is very narrow, of course based on their immediate proximity as they do not know or see outside of their vecinty. Well traveled people see that all of this fear they have is just a farce, by large misplaced and thays why it's called a phobia. Interesting that the hate is always black on black. You'll never see white or black Namibians or South Africans attacking white Zimbabweans in their countries meaning there's a much deeper issues which cannot be called xenophobia. With regard to the expensive nature of travel in Africa and putting pressure on African governments, this is exactly what a united Africa will do. But first we need a complete cleansing. Out with the old, in with the new with a carefully constructed plan to increase each country's GDP and therefore value. I'm happy to see South Africa has taken the first step with it's unity government because inasmuch as we can blame, for example, the Zimbabwean people for not booting out the Zimbabwean government, we have countries like South Africa, Botswana, Namibia and Mozambique that are allies to the rogue Zimbabwean government and help keep them in power due to their liberation ties which makes the plight of the Zimbabwean people even worse.
@pinkCulture. YOU DID great job asking this tough and 😅 divisive question. Those who want a borderless ( free movement of people and goods ) should work on educating africans first because it is clear to see how misinformed people are , especially those who are originally from the so called developed or rich african countries, they have this superiority complex believing that borderless Africa = to a huge influx of other african countries to theirs for greener pasture.

The second girl was worried about people coming to Botswana to take their resources but it's the opposite.

These Boarders didn't do any justice especially to these 4Countries...in the Regine...The boarder between Botswana and SA Ncape ....there were also a free movement of people... between the 2 Countries...
I’m zim boy, stay in your country no such thing as United Africa
A United SADC means Zimbabwean people will go to Botswana and other countries they chose to go to same goes to Botswana and any other country. Where you go you will be permitted to use the resources the same way as you would do in your country of origin. Stop being small in minds people... America is doing well in the similar setup... Whats wrong with Africans? So small in mind.
Go to America then.
The problem is morality
Have you ever heard something called "president of Europe? Or president of Asia or president of America or president of Middle East??? I think this united Africa is just thinking out of emotions than using logic. Africa is continent NOT a country. Stop with stupid conversations
Africa can be united but not in SouthAfrica
There is nothing much happening in botswana, only 1% 0f south african will want to go to there.. we wont mind visiting but not to stay there.
So now you speaking for the whole country 😂
People are funny 😂
@ChrisMaifo-fd5lt I've been to that country numerous times. It's dry it's one of the depressing countries in Africa.
And we will have an influx of them coming here.😢

SO THERE IS NOTHING MORE IMPORTANT TO DISCUSS THAN THIS?
HOW ABOUT BALCK UNITY , EMPOWERMENT AND REMOVING THE DISPARITY CREATED BY NON AFRICANS
So according to you asking Africans what they think of united Africa or borderless Africa is not empowering or worth discussing by Africans ?
Stay in your country
It's so funny that za tswana wouldn't mind uniting but they can't unite with zw tswanas
Za sothos call each other one people but sothos in zw aren't this is double standards
@@kulhemhlongo how many batswana in Zimbabwe maybe 1% ?so not much is known about them can they even speak which dealect ke ba eng barolong??bakgatla??.

We don't United State of Africa why u guys are obsessed with boadeless Africa
The other problem with South Africa 🇿🇦 is that we so many people that’s why rand is so weak and we consume more than we can produce and that in a way does affect our economy and currency over populated countries are likely not to have good economic growth and job opportunities unlike less populated countries because they can cater their own citizens.
The problem with people who says they don’t want bordersless Africa when they are benefiting but if their government start to struggle they will see as opportunity to become bordersless. Let Botswana 🇧🇼 struggle you will see how they going to see how beneficial is being united but now they are benefiting they are doing well but let them struggle they will see as benefiting.
We know struggle, Botswana u see now is not the same as 80s and 90s we built this country without bothering you people.
Bad and foolish idea and it will never happen
Bringing 60million of South African but u using South African Bank are u ok in your mind sister lol
