In Botswana, we don't know much about Namibians too. However, to clarify something Ruth said, Botswana never used US dollars as its currency. In the past, Botswana used the South African Rand because our economies were closely linked. We introduced our own currency, the Pula, in 1976. Botswana's Pula is considered stable due to the country's strong economic fundamentals and investment climate

And it was like that as well in Europe.. even mostly people had prejudice against neighbours.. and there were always tensions and wars in Europe... Until the leaders realised and worked hard to connect people instead.. and now there are soooo many benefits.. and therefore Europe got much richer when the countries now cooperate.. hope the same for Africa ;)

Im from Botswana 🇧🇼 and Namibia is like my first choice tourist destination. Lovely and friendly people too. Biltong (dried beef) is top notch!! I always make sure I stop by in Okahanja to buy some. Katutura braaid meat too wow!! Then there is Dolphin park in Swakopmund. Its a nice goto place on Christmas day. Love you from 🇧🇼
@dudy Here in Botswana 🇧🇼 you must try our local delicacy SESWAA ( some call it pounded beef in English even though we don't really pound the meat. We overcook it and remove the bones and it becomes very soft. Pounding sounds violent hahaha). You won't regret it.

@dudy i don't know currently but the used USD in 2014 last time I was there..As for Zimbabwe they been using USD but introduced a new currency this year but the citizens always prefer USD for stability

We started using rands not dollars... rands before independence then Pulas... Botswana is almost the same as Namibia.. friendly...simply and easy to adapt

Ruth is confused. She is speaking about Zimbabwe not Botswana. We have never used USD and we are very confident about our currency, one of the strongest in Africa. Our currency was deliberately devalued several times by our Leaders and that’s what weakened it against USD

If we are honest as Namibians , we really know nothing about Botswana cause the country has no economic influence in the region , we basically know more about SA coz we are economically and culturally linked & the two countries used to be one ….. but I’ve met a lot of people from Botswana in Namibia , their holiday destination is Swakopmund, Namibia , coz they don’t have an ocean or a holiday city in their country

If we are honest as Namibians , we really know nothing about Botswana cause the country has no economic influence in the region , we basically know more about SA coz we are economically and culturally linked & the two countries used to be one ….. but I’ve met a lot of people from Botswana in Namibia , their holiday destination is Swakopmund, Namibia , coz they don’t have an ocean or a holiday city in their country
