I remember watche a similar trick: when you are on the moving plataform in the middle of Stage 1, you have to jump to the second part when the time is out and your skulls down in this second part. The result is the same: break the time, not die and the player watching different.

It's so funny how kids all around the world found that glitch independently. At my arcade they had an hi-score contest when I discovered it by accident. So I just stayed on the same level endlessly killing ghouls until I got the high-score. Unfortunately for me, other kids saw me do it so they replicated it and subsequently beat my score before the end of the contest and got the prize. ha ah

Get the knife. After the Zombie in the sky trick, rapidly fire back and forth and so many zombies will come out, you can earn 2-3 extra lives for everyone you lose. We would save up enough to play all day on 1 quarter and beat the game. We got so good I could do it with 1 man and play all the way through without getting touched.
