Superb! LEAVES' EYES' latest album "Symphonies of the Night" brings the listener into a world of legends! Leaves' Eyes is such an awesome band. I really love Liv's operatic vocals, so pleasant to the ear... Hope they release more material like this!

I'm still fairly new to the world of symphonic metal. I just discovered this genre in Sept of 2022. My first time hearing this band. I'm definitely gonna spend some time checking this band out.
You should also check her first legendary band, Theatre of Tragedy, well maybe you already know it but in the case you don't, give it a hear, will not dissapoint.

This band is not a Nightwish Wannabee, Liv Kristine started her Goth singing long ago since 1993 with Theatre Of Tragedy, when the band changed from goth to industrial, she left and made a new band called (Leave's Eyes) and continued her career and passion, Nightwish started 1996 which means after Theatre Of Tragedy. and after all, music instruments has the same scales, Goth/Symph Metal has the same elements. There are many songs out there made by Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath and Judas Priest .... I heard other bands plays same or close to that riffs...so?? do we stop and only listen to them... xD my God... People are people, you can't satisfy them...Enjoy \m/
Everything is true till part about goth/ symph...Symphonic is closer to power metal, cuz of structure, inspiration from classical music (guitar solo part in power metal), tempos, scales etc. Pure Gothic Metal is closer to doom, more theatrical with eg with melodeclamation and with not so many orchestral parts like in power, it's more simple in structure, we can see this in Theatre of Tragedy, Tristania, Sins of thy Beloved etc. It's like said that stoner or doom and power is the same..it can't be fast and slow at the same time

i rank Tristania No.1, because no singer ever tops vibeke stene, but ToT is absolute GOD TIER.
check out Aegis - its the second best album ever produced in my opinion (best is Widows Weeds by Tristania).

Leaves Eyes was great with Liv, but still great with Elina, I love her voice too. Is like what happened to Nightwish, we said goodbye Tarja but Floor Jansen is awesome too.

BUT I agree with the irreplaceable of Liv in Leaves Eyes. Sure the New Singer has some Band experience with "EnkElination" BUT she didn't have these Unique voice like Liv and also her optical look doesn't correspond with the rest of the band.. so yeah. She is a good singer but with her old Band it was better. The Style of her Voice and the other Instruments in the Old band was better and now her voice is....i don't know..it doesn't sound like Leaves Eyes.
It's now like Nightwish. Once Tarja was away there come no better. Sure the Other where good in there own way but both can't reach the Point, Tarja was setting. But i don't wont to start a argument about Nightwish, so please no comments with that topic. I just want to explain my point of view :D
