How fast does Thanos throw his sword? Captain Marvel flies by at quite some speed and is half way between thanos and the van, yet he still has time to get up, pull back, throw the sword and beat her to it. That thing must of broke the sound barrier.

The scirpt confirms that Captain Marvel was "flying for all she's worth". In the same movie, Carol had previously scouted and searched an entire planet in less than 30 seconds (this was before the Avengers began their ambush on Thanos)

This is the 2014 thanos they’re fighting. He hasn’t had experience with them yet. While yes he did hear about them, he likely didn’t know much about them besides Tony blowing up the Chitari with a nuke.

Recently occurred to me that Stark was waiting for his move to defeat Thanos.
He had made his mind up to use the stones, as a last resort, to defeat him.
This is why he tries to stop Thanos getting to the stones as opposed to getting the stones himself. He wanted to give the Avengers an opportunity to defeat him before resorting to sacrificing himself.
“Whatever it takes” - Tony Stark.
He may have been worn out over a decade of battles and wars but his iq is unmatched in the Marvel universe.
Right. But if he was so smart, why didn't he just grab the gauntlet when Thor and Steve had Thanos in a deadlock?
It struck me yet another test of Thanos' power is he held Thor back with Stormbreaker's power but he also held against the worshiness enchantment on Mjolnir also.

It will have been necessary all the same the 3 episodes of Iron man, that of the incredible Hulk, 3 of Captain America, 3 of Thor, 2 of the Guardians of the galaxy, 2 of Ant-man, 1 of Doctor Strange, 1 of Black Panther, 1 of Spiderman, 1 of Captain Marvel, the 3 of Avengers as well as this last part to conclude a monumental saga.
Never had such a project come to life in the world of the 7th art, spanning 22 films, bringing together a host of actors, who have become icons of pop culture. Superheroes have never had so much momentum, certainly because it speaks to several generations, including an old man like me who has passed half a century, to the youngest, certainly admiring such images. Anyway, that's what I believe, I imagine that I would be amazed by this whole universe if I were a teenager, since I am in my fifties.
Here, after Infinity war and the monstrous genocide caused by Thanos, the surviving heroes will do everything in their power to reverse the fatality, even to travel to the past at the risk of further aggravating the situation.
The end of one cycle... is only the beginning of another! Because, if this story ends with this episode, other adventures are already planned and we can think that, thanks to an inexhaustible reservoir, the Marvel Cinematic Universe is only at its beginning.

Marvel should have just ended with this: A Satisfying ending with a sad death, but all the loose ends are tied up, A full-load of Age Of Ultron references and Captain America holding Mjolnir.

Well now, they have a built in excuse that only specific timelines were allowed by He Who Remains. So they had to do this because it was the only option permitted. So all those possibilities he saw were limited by that fact.

I love how they just casually made Pepper Potts a superhero and she gets to thwack Thanos in this scene 😂 i know it lines up with the comics but its crazy how she suddenly becomes a badass with little to no film explanation and she shows up for the final fight like this 😂
The most plausible explanation would be that Tony taught Pepper how to use the suits following the events of Iron Man 3. When the Mandarin attacked Tony's mansion, she put on one of the Iron Man suits and clearly struggled to operate it. More than likely, Tony would have explained the suit's mechanics to her following this, to prevent such a disaster from occurring again (as well as to ensure Pepper's safety)
It is funny but Tony would have a protocol to keep Pepper away from threats (that are able to kill her as that beats the purpose of Rescue). Even if she would have went for Thanos, Tony and the suit would make her not do so

Maybe the suit permitted her to attack Thanos because she was protecting Captain Marvel, rather than confronting Thanos directly
How did thanos hold back the weight of mjolnir being pressed down on storm breaker?? And why did he only use one arm to hold it back??? Was his arm injured from wanda trying to rip him apart?
Mjolnir can’t be lifted because of the enchantment not because of its weight and Thanos usually uses one arm and uses the other on stressful situations he did the same with captain marvel at 1:15

Movie mistake, thanos has his battle gauntlet on his hand when captain marvel first attacks then suddenly doesn’t so he can put the glove on, should have had him throw off his gauntlet maybe at someone to show this change properly

Marvel really wanted Captain Marvel to be next face of the MCU at one point.
