Safari Doctors is an award-winning, community-based organisation that travels by sea and road to provide vital health services in remote areas. Based in Lamu, it was founded by Umra Omar in 2015 on the belief that access to healthcare is a right, not a privilege.
Safari Doctors is on a quest to transform the health of marginalised communities in a region comprised of a group of islands that make access to healthcare a major challenge.
