I actually didn’t even notice the back rest when you pulled up next to me by destination Daytona and I asked if you had any bites for buyers. I’m glad to see your keeping it.
I did the HD rear Olin ,like them so much doing the front Olins . I think a big difference coming from sport bikes and BMW . Front end dives a little with the front break . Also we’re did you get the one on the tank .
Hey man.. I just installed the screaming eagle version on my 21 RGS they are sweet! Loved yours when I seen your install. I love the gold but could put my hands on the SE immediately so grabbed them and honestly up here in the NE my local Harley dealer does an MVP program and with 15% off was a smoking deal. Question, when I installed them I had to adjust them at different lengths to get them to bolt up. I have heard of this that the stock shocks being up to 1/4" different in length. Does not seem to effect anything, I have heard it is common but there is not much online about it.
These shocks were my Christmas gift to my bum!! By far the best shock out there. Same here not sure on that gold reservoir’s. Thinking of getting them wrapped 🤷🏼♂️ to keep that blackout look 👀
Good video as always. Think maybe I wouldn't be as turned off with the reservoir location if some effort had been made to "disguise" the tubing. CycleFanatix has the same shocks I believe but tubing to the shocks is definitely more discreet. Don't want to sound like I'm dumping on you or your bike because I like your bike and your videos.
Thumbs Up! Harleys have really bad stock suspensions and ride like bricks - yes, even the baggers. His statement about the "best investment yet" is truth. I wish I would have bought the Ohlins for front and rear on my 2017 SGS, but I tried the Legend REVO-A shocks on the rear and they were barely better than stock. They definitely were not worth the over $900.00 price tag. First mods on HD should be suspension upgrades, and then exhaust, air breather and a proper dyno tune by a skilled pro. This will greatly improve the bike and your enjoyment of riding the bike - hands down...
I’m a new subscriber. Love your channel! I’m from Michigan as well and I keep my ‘22 RG CVO up at my place in Gaylord. I’m blessed to be able to ride with my son! I’m looking at the same setup as you and your Dad went with. I’ve been on Ohlins site and it looks like they’re geared mainly for 2-up riding. I never carry a passenger, and I only do day trips with 20 lbs in my saddlebags. With gear, I’m in the 190 range. Just wondering if you could make a recommendation on my situation? Could the Ohlins be dialed in for me? Thanks and I look forward to more great content!
I have the SE Ohlins from Harley basically same thing. Difference is awesome but they show how bad the front standard shocks are. So having the Ohlins front shocks being fitted to sort that out lol
I was out there and considered those but was just too busy that day... and still looking at the Legends. A lot of things have been on backorder when you shop online. Still waiting on a part from Arlen Ness to finish up my T-bar set up on the road glide.
All you guys with SE versions, anyone try to re use them for the ‘24 Road or Street Glide? I’m trying to but it seems the bracket angle won’t allow them to fit! They contact the new taillights. Any solutions? Apparently HD is working on a new bracket and kit?!
You can hide them with different mounts.. I liked the look of these exposed mounts. They don’t get in the way of my docking hardware for my backrest when I use it..
Now that you've had a chance to ride with the new Ohlin's shocks installed, what is the difference in the ride, including cornering, passenger ride, etc.?
Much more plush, handles the bumps in the road with ease, don't even feel them in the rear, just feel them in the front. Passenger riding is much better. and the bike handles much better around corners as well. You don't feel the rear end wobble anymore around corners..
Looking at picking up a 2019 RGS in black. What is the main differences between a '19 and '22? Hydraulic clutch for sure but what about the infotainment system?
I too am not a fan of them sticking out like that but I do like everything else you've done with your bike - and love your channel. Did you change from a 2-1 pipe to something else?
have you done the front forks? I did a complete legend set and it was night and day. no matter the brand, 100% better than stock. front end dive is probably 80%-85% better. Ohlins is legit top shelf so congratulations on the purchase
@@DOOWORKMOTORSPORTS yessir. im sure you already know but well worth the investment for a performance bagger. keep putting in that work and ill keep watching
Unless you were riding at your limits for hours or racing it I bet the $1000 ones without the remote reservoir will perform just as good. Save $500 and not have the reservoirs sticking out unless you happen to like the way it looks. Not dogging em I know to each is own.
What about doing a upgrade to the front I still can’t get over the fact that Harley charges all this money for their motorcycles and gives subpar shocks and etc.
They look sick, that’s why I bought the exact same shock two weeks ago. Best of the best for me and my back. Go 044

Good to hear . Just got the screaming eagle onlins with reservoir. Gonna install this week . Can’t wait
We not making fun of you seat , we making fun of that trailer 😂 just busting your balls bikes looking good
They look fantastic.
I just bought these and for my 22’ Road Glide ST. Can’t wait to feel the difference!
well??
I'm getting these as soon as I can. Fronts too. I only wish they would be coming to a rally closer to me. I'm in the North East.

The extended brackets from Ohlins.

Yes, Ohlins Shocks can be dialed in for your height and weight.

Excellent. I’ll give them a call.
To each there own, but I prefer Legends on my glide. Anything is better than stock. Ride safe brother!
And legends looks better and don't stick way like these do.
But maybe they have different lengths.
Yes they sell different mounts so you can tuck them if you don’t like this look..
I’ve had both and I way now prefer ohlins!! Had legend on 2 of my old bikes. And Wow Ohlins wins by far! So much happier now

Are these the 13” shocks and if they are, are you having any clearance issues with the exhaust and the rear axle nut?
Yes they are, and no clearance issues!
We did the same move at Daytona your video a lot better tho 🤣🤣
What did it do to the ride height ? I was really hoping you would compare like previous suspension installed
I like the shocks if the reservoir could be hidden
Throws the look of the bike off with gold reservoir bottles....
Looks good. How long did it take the pro to install the shocks? What was the installation charge?
20 mins.. Free install when purchased at bike week :)

100%! On point.
Love the shocks, but don't care for the reservoirs being mounted on the back. For $1500, I'd want it to be hidden somehow.
Yeah these seem to stick way out more than Legends.
They have a different bracket if you are rocking a tour pack, the reservoirs are tucked a little lower
