I am currently deciding between this bag and the AER City Pack pro. I prefer the water bottle feature on the AER bag since it’s a quicker access but I know they are not the tightest grip. Glossy water bottles tend to fall out. Which is a better bag in your opinion? Thanks!
It’s nice because the panel doesn’t flop open, and that keeps your stuff contained but I appreciate the better access and visibility with clamshell openings.
@@ECsEDC Appreciate your response. I'm struggling to choose between the CTB20 and this one. You did mention that the Metro Pro feel smaller than other usual 24L. I like the smaller form factor. Would you say the Metro Pro exterior is somewhat close to the CTB20?
@@dchoi535The exteriors are slightly different. The CTB uses 420d nylon that has a very smooth feel. The Metro has a more coarse hand feel, as the denier is 600. This reminds me more of a 1000d bag, than it does the EVERGOODS 420d. Both do a decent job of shedding dirt, hair and lint and can be brushed clean with your hand.
I like Alpaka a lot for their smaller stuff - slings and pouches, but none of their backpack designs speak to me... For some reason I always subconsciously associate them with Able Carry and they always lose any comparison in any size category.
EC great job as usual. I think you’re the best bag reviewer and should have many more subscribers. Keep at it and they will come! Good luck!
Thank you very much!
This bag is like a mix between the dsptch daypack and their ridgepack
More plants!!! My man gettin more plants for every subscriber
They all had to come inside for the fall/winter 😂🌿🌳

I’d definitely say I prefer the Aer City Pack Pro. It hits home better in aesthetics and in use for me.
Honestly I actually prefer half clamshell for more tech/edc items

where is your shirt from mate? Love it
Thanks! Thats the Western Rise Transit Overshirt! I love this thing. It’s so comfy and stretchy!
@@ECsEDC thanks mate
Is it me or does Alpaka Liters tends to run small?
Not sure since this is my first Alpaka bag but it definitely feels small for 24L
I don’t like the “hood” of this backpack. Thanks for the honest review.
Is 1.5kg a bit too heavy?
It is heavier than other bags, but it wasn’t super noticeable, especially once on body. But that could be one more item in the ‘Cons’ list for you…
The x-pac version is 1.3kg so 2.8lbs instead of 3.3lbs if you think that makes a difference.

@ I’d say the CTB20 feels larger, but I think that’s because it’s more of a bucket.

Might be in agreement with you. Though, I do really like the Able Carry Max and think those Able Carry bags do better than Alpaka in general, IMO
@@ECsEDC Yea, maybe it wasn't clear who I meant, but I was trying to say Able Carry wins every time for me. I love their bags.
