This was a really helpful video to watch as I'm setting up this exact habitat for my own Leachie who's ready for an upgrade!

The walls dont look super sturdy. I wonder how much weight they could really hokd as far as water logged wood etc

Oh yes…will poop on glass immediately 😂 my leachie has a knack for doing it right after I’ve cleaned it. I’m definitely considering this habitat for my girl. Right now she’s in a 36” tall glass bioactive enclosure and that sucker is immovable. I’d love something slightly more manageable that doesn’t have to stay on a dolly full time

i have 2 of these and i did foam background which i dont recommend but it is do able. mine fine after my second try using zip ties. i made a false bottom using led light panel egg crates and put a small layer of gravel in front of it and the my bioactive substrate and i can take these 2 36 tall terrariums off the top off a 6 foot bakes rake with no problem. its the size that hard to move but that isnt to big of a issue. id say it weights 50 to 60 Ibs. i also question the longevity. mine dont leak yet but i will start at some point just because that's how it is. but they sell a drainage catch that will go under the enclosures. i still like them alot and plan to buy more. even with these short comings. because they ill have parts individually for sell later on and that is something i like alot. no more droping a enclosure or some one knocks it over or jsut a acident happen and i have no more terrarium. with parts i can fix what ever for cheaper than buying a new tank and since its not glass if a break does happen. you dont have pet sushi.

How does the drainage layer work? It appears to be extremely shallow. It would fill up with water very quickly in a heavily misted environment. Do you set up your racks to automatically drain using bulkheads? Also concerned about the limited substrate depth. Would be difficult to plant larger plants.

Can you make a custom back ground with the expanding foam and cork bark tubes etc on these? Or the sides and back to light weight and soft for that?

In order to bind spray foam to our walls we recommend installing anchors (which as wall anchors) to ensure that the spray foam has a proper base to be supported by and to adhere to.

@@LeapHabitats Is it on your to-do to show the process of anchoring a build with foam?
