I remember buying the Dreamcast the first day it came out on 9/9/99 it was awesome it wasn’t that expensive it had online play the only problem I have with it it doesn’t have two analog sticks I can’t believe it came out 25 years ago now unbelievable
Yup. Some games were very awkward to play such as soldier of fortune. 1999 was a great year for me too. Totally rock 'N Roll era. I was absolutely blown away with Dreamcast when I played Sonic Adventure in a kiosk. I am still convinced it could easily match PS2 in terms of visuals.
@AirJordan23DCH absolutely. I have always argued that it was way a head of its time. Playing online via console didn't really kick off properly until the PS3/360 era. Of course PS2 and Xbox OG could technically do it but not many did.
@@JustJamie1983Another questionable design decission is only having 2 triggers (no shoulder buttons like PS1) and no Select button. Also, controller's cable came out from the bottom. Like, why?? And then my personal annoyance was that memory card (the VMU) is super overengineered and totally unecessary. Kid me couldn't convince my parents to buy more than 1 unit and also the vibration unit. So in the entire Dreamcast days I only have 1 VMU and no vibration. While I have like 6 PS1 memory cards and 2 dualshocks (and 4 first gen controllers, no analog.)
Yeah me too, bought it in NY on a holiday there and took it back to UK, was significantly cheaper if I remember correctly. Good times. Hated those little slot in memory card devices though.
A favourite game of mine this year that I didnt see in this list is Sports Jam. Great little multiplayer challenge game with the best elements of a lot of sports games.
These would've looked a lot better if you'd captured the footage using genuine hardware. Good list though, DC had so many cracking games in its short lifespan

@@JustJamie1983 it may have been the biggest generational leap in history the Dreamcast

Not actually heard of it. Will check it out.
Thanks Jamie.
My pleasure!

Will get around to buying something for that at some point 😀
Why upload at 60fps, if the video was exported at 30fps? Doesn't make much sense...
Other than that, great list
Many thanks 😀
Nice Dreamcast list but whatever your method of capture is, it's not capturing it at 60fps! 😥
Hey, that's okay. These weren't designed to run at 60fps. 30 suits me just fine 😉
Who knows the song playing at the start of this video? I swear it sounds so familiar i just cant remember what game its from??
