  • Darkglass Microtubes Infinity tones and Darkglass Suite overview
My new piece of gear - not a sponsored video. A steep price tag but something I spent my hard earned cash on (worth it). I go over my workflow, share some extra tips on what worked for me when using the Darkglass Suite and showcase some tones.

Thank you! I am trying to figure mine out!

I found your video because I can't find anything helping out with either the programming (DG Suite is terrible...few mouse over tooltips) nor how to factory reset the Infinity. The manual is terrible, and few resources exist to get answers. It's so frustrating, but thank you for the info you have passed on.

Sorry for the silly question, but is there some way to make it sound like an ampeg or something nice for clean/not distorted sound??

Not silly NP and yes for sure there’s lots of clean tones and you can customize to your hearts content. Thx for the comment

Hi, vuole you use share about the balanced outputs? Can they output different signals or the same signals on both? What routing options are available (either bypass or processed, bypassed-processed-simed)?

Hi yeah there is versatility in the outputs and can be used differently if I understand what you’re asking. I’m not too sure about the options however, here’s the manual jic, it’s right there at the top under connections: www.darkglass.com/manual-microtubes-infinity/

What do the Modify buttons beside the HPF and LPF frequency sliders in the multiband section do? Can you change the range of cutoff frequencies of the HPF and LPF?

      Exactly ✔️

@@tristantylerdaniels is there a limit to the range you can set? The low cutoff is standard from 50 to 500 Hz, so if I am understanding you right the modify button lets you change that, to say 100 to 1000 hz?

Sorry I just saw this now :( but yes that’s how it should function but the UI and how it’s displayed is hard to tell with how Darkglass set it up so I think the best way to test is to use something within your DAW that will show the range while you tweak

Great video. I picked up this unit and I must say it’s incredible. However the suite and the whole on line programming thing is very intimidating for me. Is there an in depth tutorial somewhere?

Good to hear! Not really. Darkglass channel released a few videos but it’s pretty limited (from what I’ve found). TalkBass forums and other outside resources like that might help a bit more, but it’s still pretty new so hopefully more will pop up here on YT soon. If you have any questions lmk and maybe I can help with another video. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
