Watching the first few heats and looking at the times, by comparison to the average swimmer these guys are fast and people would love to have times like these. Of course they are slow by the Olympic champions standards and I am faster but these guys come from countries with a much much lower standard of training equipment and coaching, some from really disadvantaged countries, yet they can do better than many of the masters and swimmers in the richer countries. Personally, saying that you are faster and did 19.6 and you’re a tadpole or something is just diminishing the effort and commitment that these athletes go through, many of whom probably hold down jobs alongside training whereas Michael Phelps solely trained. These guys deserve as much if not more admiration and respect than the champions and they should serve as an inspiration for us all, that no matter who or where you are, hard work pays off.
@@maitreytelang2312 1- They have at least swam in the Olympics, thing you will never do. 2-They come from countries with very low resources so ... respect bro.
The swimmers in the first 2 heats will fail to qualify to the final of inter-school competitions in my country, and my country has a grand total of 2 olympics swimming medals in the history of the game. It's unfair to those who have much better time but denied entry into olympics.
+Kristjan It's so that people from different countries can participate. I like that the Olympics allows these people to compete. It could make more people in lesser developed countries have an interest in these sports. It's not all about winning.

Why theres only have three contestans ?
Who else got annoyed when audio and visual didn’t line up
Sound and picture is not in-sync.
Nassif in the first heat did very, very well. He was fired up with that time also! Deservingly so.
But didn't qualify 😕
Why is the audio out of sync
César Cielo e Bruno Fratus dois medalhistas olímpicos do Brasil.
It's too bad they never uploaded the heats for the Rio Olympics. They uploaded all their footage from London, why did they stop?

Rhyyys Sharrrp If you were faster than heat 1 in fly you probably be swimming in Arena pro series but not, idiot

Any male teenager who practises 3 hours a week for 3 years will be able to finish 50m in less than 28s. It's not that difficult.
Omg i remember watching this

its crazy how bad these swimmers from africa are. (I live in kenya ) and I could find swimmers that are much faster than them
So you'd beat Le Clos?
If my time was 23s and denied entry into Olympics, I'd be pretty pissed to see swimmers allowed entry with a time of 27s
how did a guy that got 30sek + go to the olympics? his form was the worst.. was the first heat for like special people?
Hey if you don't know it's the best from there country, doesn't mean they are that good by Olympic standards, just best from there country
Also they got a wildcard entry for international experience
@@heathermyrer3343 how come I don’t see my country, they are much faster than them....
Wildcard, theres not so many swimmer from africa thats why they got the entry by wildcard

These are the comments I really hate, nobody cares, it’s not really fast and isn’t relevant to the vid so stfu
In my state, that’s not even a zone qualifying time, so it’s not a great time.

the people at the first heats... were they like cripled? how did they make it to the olympics? they have worse form than a drowning horse
***** why does that qualify them? People in my country need to get a certain time to be able to swim there
***** ahhh okay

Even the kids from the first heat are better than 99% of the world population. And they probably dn't have access to great facilities like you do.
I’d probably be in heat 2
