Saw this at the cinema. i know you aren't reviewing the film here, but to be honest, I found it to be an unnecessary sequel, but that's just me. Happy Christmas, and thanks for all your content this year.
Merry Christmas Shane, quick question, have you heard the Next lever cinema speakers? If so what was your thoughts on them, how would you compare them against your RBH speakers. If not heard them can you get some in for review? Thanks
The audio is a bit let down for me. Most of the time the Atmos is quite static. Picture on the other hand is solid, especially the color and contrast. The movie itself…well I’d rather rewatch the first one😂
I very much enjoyed Gladiator 2 in a 2K 7.1 movie theater. I highly recommend everyone liking this type of Genre watching it in cinema, while it is there.
He's always been a very hit and miss director. But when he picked a good script he directed the hell out of it. Nowadays it seems he's making movies because he's bored. Not a good sign. He needed to retire sometime ago. Probably after his last good movie The Martian.
I saw this in Imax and I thought the image was *too* sharp. For a cinematic experience, I don't believe as an audience we want infinity megapixel clarity. In the same way, 48fps is disliked vs 24fps, one becomes too aware of the artificiality of the sets & costumes. I like what Batman & Dune did, with the intermediate film step to slightly soften the image and add grain.
technically having sharper image should be better but for movie I don’t think visuals should represent reality and when it’s too sharp it crosses the line between fiction and reality
You can’t seperate the quality of the movie from the technical review. If someone is thinking about building a cinema room they are going to need cinema, not stuff like this
Awful movie, super rushed and characters emotions and decisions flip over 1 conversation or event, just watch the first one and forget this one even exists
Because they are nearly identical if not the same. Audio is exactly the same. This will give you a very close approximation of what the disc will look like.
Thank you for the warning. Leery of sequels to begin with no matter the cast, but watched the review twice and came away with the impression bass is not up to snuff compared to the theater release? No thanks.
Is there an example of "better quality" Kaleidescape movie compared to disc you can reference? If not, why mention "the same if not better quality" seems like trying too hard to shill out for Kaleidescape.
It's been covered by me numerous times. Why would I mention it if it wasn't true. Calling people shills make you sound ignorant. Get the facts first before making baseless comments or stop watching my videos.
@@therealshanelee Generally accepted objective and non-bias comparison is that they are the same. Even Kaleidescape themselves don't advertise that they're better than disc. Sure I won't watch your video anymore. As you wish.

The best part of Gladiator 2 is Shane’s review of it on Christmas Day morning.
Happy holidays home cinema community 🎄🎄🎄

Terrible terrible film, watch once and then throw away. Disappoint in every aspect.
Really disappointed with the movie. Plot predictable. CGI looked terrible and took me out of the film. Felt like a made for TV movie.
Genuine question, how can kaleidescape be better the physical media?
Physical is capped at 100gb

😂😂😂😂 are you joking
That's disappointing if the Kaleidescape version hasn't got the bass of the IMAX release
Merry Christmas shane
Taking out the bass is a shame
How is this movie on digital so quick? Didn’t it only just come out last month?
You can watch Y2K and that one just came out lol
Thanks for the Review Shane😎
Thanks for the review as always! Merry Christmas!
🍻
I can't wrap my head around how 2 emperors can be so inept and dim witted. The movie just felt rushed .
Sounds like the audio is great just don't think i can sit through the movie again

@@Henningberlin94 or wait to watch in home cinema. I very much enjoy watching on a large 160” scope screen with JVC projector.
On Chris Nolan films you don’t lose the base on the home realise
One of the worst movies I saw this year. Terrible script and surprisingly, terrible direction by the great Ridley Scott. 😕

The imax enhanced version is coming to Sony Pictures core soon, wanting for the imax enhanced Version to come out soon.
If I’m not mistaken the audio is 5.1 on there. I haven’t used it but from what people have said that seems to be the case
@Genemon123 the audio is full imax enhanced if you have a 5.1.2 it play at 5.1.2 I have 12.1.4 it come out at 12.1.4
@@Techmoviesguy okay cool to know 😃

Shane your the man
A future classic solely for reference and showing off your system to mates
Thanks Shane, Merry Christmas 🎄🍻🎉👍
Thanks Merry Christmas
Can you do a comparison of the 4K DVD and the kaleidescape version?
Is that the new Sony Projector at the back :)
It's resting.
R U kidding with this movie it’s so bad that they are thinking of taking away the academy award 😱
Happy Holidays Shane. 🎄 🎅
🍻
That Irish actor didn’t have the presence to pull it off,he wasn’t a patch on Russell Crowe
I hate that companies nuke the bass below a certain threshold ( 25-30Hz and below).. I guess I'll have to start using BEQ to get it back.
Thanks for your time on this, Shane. Merry Christmas!!!

Merry Christmas 🎄🎁 gladiator 2 is a ok movie.
Your JVC 700 review coming soon?
Can't wait for the directors cut❤

Classic? far from it. Not here to talk about how good or bad the movie is.
What’s the point of reviewing Kaledeiscape versions whereas "99%" will never get this version but the 4k disc like most?
Because they are nearly identical if not the same. Audio is exactly the same. This will give you a very close approximation of what the disc will look like.
310 million on that Crab Russel Crowe Cry with Terrible Movie Emperor srupid caracther is real tragedy

It was just a few tweaks away from being a solid movie
a soulless piece of crap movie

@ CIAO! MERRY CHRISTMAS!
The movie felt rushed, not to mention all the assholes talking during the movie. Would rather watch movies at home on my equipment. Thanks SL
Please tell me the title of this video is satire..
This movie was a mass dissapointment
The thumbnail is for clicks.
Why do you say that?
@ Gladiator 2? A future classic, really? You could’ve used other words.
@@AlSumait Why? Because you don't like it I should use different words?
