The caps are similar to what came from the factory. When any of these break and you're out in the field, you're going to be out of luck. There isn't a way to close the cap if it's broken. In that case it's a poor design .

With all due respect these are poorly designed even when when brand new. I'm surprised someone hasn't designed an upgrade
