Well you are moving right along. Got your Scanning trailer in order and this new shearing trailer is wonderful!! Nice to see your good ideas are working out for you!! Stay well!!
Scotty Engineering, always great, good as Australian Eng. (nearly). Top gadgy Camy. I'm gunna bulid one myself. Needed a good look at one, thanks lad. Love your show pal.
I'm midway thru shearing my own flock just now .... I really like the set up you have there in that trailer.. good well thought out engineering .... hope you get a good run at the job and get plenty of wool off.... 👍
You are a gent as always Dave! It’s a real effort to make videos and edit whilst shearing everyday but i’m planning on setting a target of shearing 12000 sheep and following my progress as the season goes on! 😁
Our trailers here In Wyoming can fit 6 shearers in one I think 8 in the other and if we have a big job the trailers hook together like u were talking about and we can really shear some sheep
Thanks mate! That’s called the decoy. So a sheep stands in there and all the sheep behind walk through the race towards her. Then she gets sheared at the end.
Hello it would be nice to add a triangle fold down plywood piece in the corners would make it safer for the rouseabout and for the sheerer handling a rough rowdey ram
Tidy rig ! Only suggestion would be too fill the gap in on the draw bar just incase a sheep gets a leg stuck in it ,they do have a habit of dropping in where they shouldn't.
Since the sheep are elevated, why not shear them on a table to save your back? Or is it because the hooves are then near vital organs of the shearer and it may be dangerous if they kick?
Nice trailer 👌. I have a few questions for you coming from someone who's dad used to shear a lot of sheep in Ireland . How many sheep would you expect to shear a day with that set up if there was someone pushing sheep up to you and taking away wool? Why do u use the shoots to the other side of the trailer? I've only ever pushed up sheep, tbh I don't like sheep- I'd rather my cows any day- but here all the trailers have 2 stands on either side, letting 4 lads sheer at the same time and the sheep are just let off to the side of the trailer. The father used to have 2 of them trailers and 8 lads shearing at the one time😂
Hi William. 2 of us would shear 800 in a big day. I know the style u mean. Makes handling of the wool and the release of the sheep more difficult. If we do 7-800 a day that’s a good enough number.
Yes the farmer keeps the wool and sells it to cover some of the shearing costs. It’s not worth much so often the shearing costs more than the wool unfortunately. .
daniel kennedy 12000 last year. But going to run a wee feature to the Vlogs where I try to shear 10000 from 1st June - 15th August. For the banter. (I actually work part time at another job + plus my own ewes so can’t shear every day!)
Push down doors are the way to go. The ones that fold down toward you are idiotic and dangerous. You might want to consider tying/roping things down when traveling as in Australia you would be fined for not doing so. Could be the same in the UK.

Just found this channel - loving the videos!
The haircut frees those ears to wave in the breeze.
The sheep posit that trailer may be a guillotine. Knackerman!! Run guys!!
Wishin you the best.
Thanks Annah I have a cracking set of lugs (ears)

Thanks Alan. It was a copy (with a few tweaks) of a friends trailer!
That is some trailer that looking forward to the sheering season even more now also the quality of this vidio was second to none

@@TheSheepGame good luck
Very slick and well designed!
Everything looking good.
Good looking bit of kit!
Hopefully looks as good at end of summer😁
Handsome piece!
Great trailer, the wee extra steps you added might be worth just galvanising , using aerosol galv paint. Screwfix does it
Cheers
Jd
Good idea John! Also it would look better on camera😁

Some big trailers you have then, would it be that the average flock size is a bit bigger than in the UK?
@@TheSheepGame ya idk what UK’s average flock size is but ours can from 500 to 5500 head of sheep
Looking good for the season. Why is there a place for holding a sheep in the last section?
Thanks mate! That’s called the decoy. So a sheep stands in there and all the sheep behind walk through the race towards her. Then she gets sheared at the end.
@@TheSheepGame ....... good idea, makes complete sense 🍷🍺👍
@@TheSheepGame that is freaking genius - one goes and they'll all follow!!! NIIIIIIIICE
Another great video. Always enjoy them, waiting for the next one. How many you shear in an average day?
Thanks! I’d shear 300+ per day most days.
More vids plz I spend all day everyday staring at my inbox
Haha some man. Glad people enjoy them! Got the next one ready for a couple days time😁
The Sheep Game can’t wait
Just came across your videos, great viewing, where are you guys based,,, 👍🏴
Ayrshire! Once shearing season starts proper i’ll try get plenty footage of where we are travelling! 😁
Nice trailer. Just finished our ewes using a pen type catching setup. Hated it. Can you give a rough idea of that trailer price?
Grand trailer never seen the shearer roll the wool aswell !😂🤣
Desperate times. 😂
Great design I love the race how it swings round. Whats the weight of the trailer?
750kg so no brakes required😁
Hello it would be nice to add a triangle fold down plywood piece in the corners would make it safer for the rouseabout and for the sheerer handling a rough rowdey ram
What dept are wells at the sliding doors..... have a similar type trailer and the sheep going up and back in the trailer would break your heart
Tidy rig ! Only suggestion would be too fill the gap in on the draw bar just incase a sheep gets a leg stuck in it ,they do have a habit of dropping in where they shouldn't.
Good idea!! Thanksn
Awesome!
Thanks!
Nice looking trailer. But I am not too sure about that elephant in the room. LMAO love watching your videos.
It’s hellish looking. Got a kind of sideshow Bob look going on now😂
Will you be going round other farms shearing with your super trailer?
That’s the plan Wendy! But if noone wants us at least it will look nice sitting in the yard😁
Since the sheep are elevated, why not shear them on a table to save your back? Or is it because the hooves are then near vital organs of the shearer and it may be dangerous if they kick?
I like your haircut. I bet your wife does too
Hair has gone a bit wild since then, struggling with a hair cut in lock down Linda 🤣
hi tammy have u got the measurements out for the shearing trailer
🐑🥰
Why is one sheep yoked in the front of the trailer beyond the second sliding door?
It means the second sheep will stand still at the door. If you don't have one in the yoke then she will panic and try to jump out.

Handy trailer but would it handle wild welsh sheep?bendigedig !!!
Made the race a bit wider for Blackie tups! The welshys would be turning round and running back down the ramp😂
How long is the trailer?
Any idea on overall cost and how much you’d saved instead of buying new?
Trailer was £6000. I couldn’t buy a trailer like this as it was custom made the way i wanted 😁
Might job good luck cammy your a gower Aidan sourthern Ireland 👍🐑🐑🐑🐑
Do u leave the farmer the wool u shear, who gets to keep it.?
Yes the farmer keeps the wool and sells it to cover some of the shearing costs. It’s not worth much so often the shearing costs more than the wool unfortunately. .
Hairdo, back and sides look great but ya missed a big bit in the middle lol
Haha it's in some mess these days!
You are enjoying good report in public
Thank you. Where are you watching from?
@@TheSheepGame I m from Pakistan, I watch your videos regularly.
@@khurramshuja6773 amazing thank you. I am going to start improving my subtitles so they are more accurate than the auto generated ones. 👍
how many sheep do you shear
Per year or per day? 😁
@@TheSheepGame per year

Tidy job on the trailer, I hope you don’t leave your sheep with the same shearing job as you’ve done to yourself!😂😂😂
Haha cheers Daniel i’m secretly quite proud of the mess i made😂😂
The Sheep Game 😂👍🏻

Cops in the Uk won’t even know what the trailer is for😁
Could you just hang a fleece on the front of the shoot instead of a sheep standing there.
