    I agree with you for the most part but you didn’t mention the fact that Zion or BI have never had a true PG. You can call lonzo a PG but he was turned into a spot up shooter bc he couldn’t drive. This is the first guard who can actually distribute the ball.

      If the Pelicans can get a better center to help space the floor and make their offence less clunky. He will be much better

      DJ , Herb , Zion , BI and Yves starting lineup. CJ as 6th man and Trey,Naji and Jose off the bench. I’d like to see them work something out with a Center like Drummond but I’d let Yves step into the starting role immediately like Dallas did with Lively. He’s definitely very capable as a long 5 that can switch and be a rim runner. And expect Zion to become a threat from mid range. He has a nice jumper that we began to see at the end of last season. Ready for october

    • @itse6529
      @itse6529 6 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      And Yes I have DJ at the PG. he averaged 6 assist next to Trae young last year. And HOPEFULLY we can keep BI. His playmaking is honestly unstoppable with his ability to see over defender and length to get the ball past them

  • @Starchild011067

    I like that we got Murray, but pump the brakes, bruh! JV just signed with the Wizards and we traded the backup 5 to the Hawks, so unless the new rook is ready to flow, we have a huge hole in the middle...we're also likely to lose Naji Marshall, so the 2nd unit off the bench is kind of thin as well. I was screaming for the Pels to get Murray before he went to Atlanta, so I'm glad we finally got him...but Big Dave needs to do some more wheelin' and dealin' before we can realistically shoot for the WCF!

    This is a great team for pelicans and I’m a pelicans fan, but I’m also a realist. We have a chance of being finalist team that all goes with staying healthy. But I think this team need to stay together for 2 to 4 more years for that to become realized, unless Yves just have an Anthony Davis defensive growth spurt. but if we were somehow able to attract Anthony Davis back from the Lakers, we could be immediately titled contenders. Or if we could get Donovan Mitchell in exchange for CJ McCollum, and some draft picks. Would be another move. Or if the second round pick fellow turns out to be the offense equivalent of a Herbert Jones and managed to take someone job.! It will be crazy.

    • @PorkyPIGG
      @PorkyPIGG 6 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      The second round pick fellow is Antonio Reeves who is leagues above Herb in terms of offense. He is a bucket, and sure its all he can really do but hes damn good at it and at 23 years old alr i could see him getting minutes

    At one time CJ was leading the Association in 3 point shooting at 48% but he than hurt his chest/lung so it fell to a terrible 44%. Lol
    He was never brought in to be the #1 or even the #2 scoring option at 32 years old.

    • @basketballreach
      @basketballreach  6 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

      CJ is the best player to have never been an all star this last decade he is so underrated even still

    • @jackstern5737
      @jackstern5737 6 วันที่ผ่านมา +5

      @@basketballreachBeing a pels fan who watches most games, I have to say that CJ is super inconsistent and can has a lot of awful games with to’s and bad shot selection and also a lot of ridiculously hot shooting nights. This wouldn’t be a huge issue if it wasn’t occurring (at each extreme) at a higher volume due to injuries, and I think he is better performing in less integral role.
      The issue is, CJ needs to be able to shift his habits based on his performance and which players are hot around him, and continues to play like the #1 option too frequently.
      I hope he can limit to’s and learn to adapt to the 6th man role (Trey Murphy will likely will be a starter by the end of the season) think he should be playing in by the end of the season with the roster as is, and all season if BI stays.
