  • WOO HOO! Part 3- A Wheelie Good Idea is here on schedule for once! haha enjoy! :)
The item in question is a 1979 Honda C90 motorcycle , scooter, moped or whatever else you want to class it as lol. It was a barn find that has been sitting off the road for years and when i got the chance to buy it i snapped it up.
From the initial inspection it didn't look to bad but tearing it down uncovered a series of areas that will need rectification work if i want to get this back to factory fresh.
The plan is to go thorough the bike methodically restoring, replacing and fabricating as need be to make this one of the best restored c90's out there and as you can probably tell from my other videos the finish will be second to none ;)
so sit back relax and enjoy a series of videos documenting the full restoration of the bike from start to finish.
If you like what you see and have any ideas for the channel or would even like to donate something to restore to the channel please get in touch. :)
And as usual if you liked the video please like share and subscribe and help the channel grow.

Hey Guys, As you have probably noticed already i have updated the channel name and logo. The channel is no longer Really Random Channel it is now RRC Restoration. Just incase you were wondering why the water marks in the video still say Really Random Channel. Enjoy.

This is absolutely fantastic! The C90s are some of my favorite machines, super reliable, easy to fix and repair, and 100% fun. I've always wanted one of these machines.

just minor thing, you should always inflate the inner tube just enough to make a donut then squeeze it in the tire, to prevent it kinking when fully inflated, and check if it can hold gas. also a bicycle tire lever is very helpful.

As far as the hubs, a spray can of Honda Cloud Silver paint (obtainable from a Honda dealer)would given you a great silver satin look. That is the same color that the factory silver on the engine should be. Dupli-Color makes a match for Honda Cloud Silver as well.

Lovely job. But I concur with the comments below, regarding the hubs being left 'raw' - I personally would have used a satin silver on them, or the same match that would be going onto the engine. It just ties it together, and doesn't make it look like all that hard work and you forgot to do the hubs. (Having had a restored C90 in my living room the same as you, new rims, stainless spokes, paint, legshield, powdercoated rear carrier, tyres, and injected underbody sealant into the frame before painitng). Working my way through the videos slowly. Best. Dawg.

Hey there. I'm loving the video. I don't know much about mopeds but I am into restoring things. I'm currently building a forged engine for my Mazda MX5. I've lots of bits to clean and paint and that's how I found your videos. Brilliant !!! I've been cleaning bolts and fasteners with a product containing phosphoric acid. I don't know its strength but I suspect that it's a bit weak for the job. Can I ask you what you have used (the magic powder) to dunk your components in. Keep up the good work and thanks in advance, Nick.
EDIT: I found it !!!!! Now I need to find out more about zinc plating. Excellent video !!!!!!

Starting at minute 16, you immerse yourself in different products and I would like to know which ones, so I can see if I can get them here in Argentina. I love your work and I hope that my bike will be the same as that one, which is truly a work of art. From already thank you very much. Miguel from Argentina
