I'm currently in a crossroads where I have been making the most progress I ever have in terms of not only skill, but also breaking into the industry of animation. I'm currently in high school and I've been considering going to sheridan because its closeby and has a really good reputation. But I also know that similar to you, my path does not require school and that I may even be better off without it. This video is really helping me clear up some stuff in my mind. I might take a gap year who knows ahaha
It’s not always an easy decision but go with what you feel is best for you! What matters most in the animation industry is that you have the skills, not a degree. That said, some people learn and grow better in an academic environment than on their own so self awareness is key to making these kinds of big decisions. I wish you the best in making your decision!
