Harmor really is one of the most underrated synths. Compared to more modern synths its unintuitive and complicated UI really laid its fate but it’s just so powerful and capable of highly unique sounds. Perhaps it’s a shame more people didn’t catch on to it but those in the know remain eternally grateful for its existence.
They are pretty easy anyway. Try this, just one saw with a unison with a highish pitch difference and pan then find the unison pitch amount on the drop down box and edit it so that the low frequencies don't have unison. Mess around with the values at different frequencies abit. Then do the same thing with the prism amount. Add a tiny bit of chorus and process to taste. Try some reverb and delay of course. You can make some SEXY saws in harmor and I've only mentioned one way of doing it!
The reason I want seamless to do it though is because he knows so much about audio engineering and he could explain what goes on in the underneaths, ya know. :P
can create massive super saw in well massive, use the saw - pulse PWM osc. use two of them all knobs flat out right, no2 osc pitch 12ct up/1 oct 6 voices, pan position full left and on, then pitch cutoff in the middle and turned on will give a fat supersaw, then add chorus to effect and choose the chord. adding a base note adds body and note some chords sound hollow.
Using the Detune (obviously) detunes the sound. To counter this, change the pitch values in the box just above. IE, if you have a detune of [2.1000/1], you can put the pitch to [1.9000/1] to place it in the right tone. To get it back into the right octave, change it to [1.9000/2]. Hope this helped.
depending on what synths you own its actually very easy, default people go to is sylenth1. but Fm8 and even sytrus can do them, but best i find is lush101 from d16. could even create it with taking 8 saw tooths samples and detuning by 12ct increments and panning them to get a supersaw, supersaws are like most power content its chords that give them power, try a solid A# or G chord with a base not one octave down from the chord adds body
hi seamless , you're the nicest dude in the universe really thank you so much for all the help you're giving for noobs and even pros, and i'm just requesting a tutorial on different techniques we use in harmor for making wobblish basses how about it ??
I'll try that out! Reason I asked is because I normally use Massive, but even with 16x unison, I still cannot find a way to get the phase cancellation out of there. Like the supersaws in One by Swedish House Mafia or something. (Sorry for the bad example xD)
Seamless, I have a great ( I think ) idea for a upcoming video from you! Could you maybe make a simple ''tips and tricks'' video where you tell and explain all the cool little things you can do in FL studio, like how to grey out notes in piano roll and what i does, shortcuts and so on.. Would be really really helpful for noobs like me haha xD
9:06 could you apply this method of yours to Harmor A and B the same and local EQ part "A" and "B" differently and then just automate the A/B slide so that technically you are automating the EQ? oh wait is local eq after distortion? ... damn it might.
Yet another sound I can't create on my modular system despite the money I poured into it. No way to separate the fundamental from the partials and no way to make unison effect certain frequencies.
You can't resize most (if not all) plugins. The larger your screen (and resolution), the more you'll be able to see. I can only just fit Harmor in my FLS window, I'm running 1440x900 on a 19" monitor.
***** idk its HUGE on my screen but i have my shit overclocked and pushing way more then what it should quality resolution everything is way past due hits 145F like i can cook an egg on my laptop lol no lie
6:34 nana nana nanot a distortion ; D

By far my favorite teacher ever! Your videos are a really great help man! :) Thank you

I'm bad at super saws :]
I suck too, but eh.. Don't really like or use them anyway.
depending on what synths you own its actually very easy, default people go to is sylenth1. but Fm8 and even sytrus can do them, but best i find is lush101 from d16. could even create it with taking 8 saw tooths samples and detuning by 12ct increments and panning them to get a supersaw, supersaws are like most power content its chords that give them power, try a solid A# or G chord with a base not one octave down from the chord adds body

i dont see the patch download, cant remake it mine sounds lame lol
detune and pitch modulation is my favorite

Very Brutal sound Seamless, Thanks love it dude!
Is there anyway you could do a basic overview of Harmor in your FL basics series? That would be super awesome
As it happens that's exactly what I'll be doing this week :)
i realize Im pretty off topic but does anyone know a good place to watch newly released movies online?
Seamless, I have a great ( I think ) idea for a upcoming video from you!

Seamless, you are a legendary teacher. Remember my name, some day, you'll see me on stage with Zardonic
+Jester so, 11 months after... have you done anything?
+Burek still struggling to learn everything :(
+Jester ah hey, its jester! didnt think to see you here
+TheWTFcakes who are you OverRustle
+Jester tis I from soundcloud, aria!
Seamless! Do a tutorial on SUPER good Supersaw/Detuned-Saw synths, like a professional one. :)
Nice thanks dude!
What kind of sorcery is this? when you add distortion! it's magic!
* Expert super-saw maker in the making you mean.
Varien has a great tutorial for that on his channel.
Okay, the gray notes are ghost notes, watch pretty much any basic FL studio tutorial, and you'll know how to use them.
6:34 na dat nad na na
I'm allways wondering about how to use the grab tool to scroll though youre project...
Good stuff :)
*FACEPALM* I never thought of using Chorus!!!! For how smart I normally am, I sure missed that one lol.
how do you get the phase warble to be in time with a song? do you just wing it, or what?
How did you make the wobble though? By changing the frequency?
Sorry I'm dumb I just didn't get it
you know way too much about fruity loops :]
Please recreate a slap bass!
WTF AWESOMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
9:06 could you apply this method of yours to Harmor A and B the same and local EQ part "A" and "B" differently and then just automate the A/B slide so that technically you are automating the EQ? oh wait is local eq after distortion? ... damn it might.
haven't checked, but you might be able to control where local eq comes in in the advanced tab
Yet another sound I can't create on my modular system despite the money I poured into it. No way to separate the fundamental from the partials and no way to make unison effect certain frequencies.
True
i know this is a stupid question but how do you make harmor smaller? my harmor takes up my entire fl studio screen basically?...i have no idea why
You can't resize most (if not all) plugins. The larger your screen (and resolution), the more you'll be able to see. I can only just fit Harmor in my FLS window, I'm running 1440x900 on a 19" monitor.

idk its HUGE on my screen but i have my shit overclocked and pushing way more then what it should quality resolution everything is way past due hits 145F like i can cook an egg on my laptop lol no lie
If everything's huge, maybe your resolution is set too low. Or your screen just doesn't support higher resolutions.
no its too high my computer tells me that it is 24/7
Exactly ;D
2:31... Star Wars... O.o
sounds a bit like razor.
I think you mean super bad at super saws. ;D
my sounds never EVER
come out the same way....
lol, right? I can get close, but it always feels like it's missing something. I just try to remind myself he's been at this 8 years.
how? All daws are the same, and you should probably get harmor as a vst instead of complaining to the master......
Your icon is creepy D:
where is the preset download
my sound is identical but no big booshh in the begining of the wobble?
There at the end he's pressing play instead of playing notes. The piano roll has some quickly descending notes, that's what you're hearing.
