- This tutorial demonstrates how to make a paracord dog collar. A dog collar is basically made the same way that you make a paracord bracelet, so many bracelet designs can be made into dog collars.
The only major differences between a paracord collar and bracelet are that the former is larger and features a ring used to hook the dog leash onto.
In this tutorial I show you how to make a king cobra dog collar. It is made using the cobra knot, a tutorial on which can be found here:
• How to tie the cobra knot
The tutorial on the king cobra paracord bracelet will also be useful here, because the collar is made in the same way:

Supplies needed:
Paracord: amzn.to/1Ns3uGC
Buckle: amzn.to/1Ns3zKF
A D-ring: amzn.to/1ajFu6v
For larger dogs, a metal buckle may be in order.
Be sure to tighten the knots in the collar firmly.

Hey Joe!
Glad to hear it. It will last you a long time. Usually it is the buckles that give out before the paracord :)!

Hey there! Most people say that 2 feet per inch is needed. It does depend on how tight you make your knots though!
Mark
Thanks a lot
It is 1 foot to every inch. If you do 2 foot you will end up with loads left over. But thanks for posting, just made it for the pooch.
Ficou lindo, pena que não vimos o acabamento!!👏👏👏
very good
if I was to make this for my dog, would I add extra inches to the measurement because of the king cobra braid?
great thanks
What is the average length of paracord to be able to make this collar for large breed dogs ? For example for 50 cm long collar.
You show how to tie the orange paracord along the length of the collar but you do not show how to finish tying off the cords. How do you do so? Also how many inches does one knot make? if I know I measure my dog's neck and make the collar to that size.
How many feets do you need to make the bracelet?
If making a dog collar 11.5 inches in length not including the buckle, how much cord do i need in total
tq very much...will give it a try thanx again. have an awesome day. #jackrussell#mark
Great video!!! I'm worried about the strength of the Paracord collar/leashes I wanna make them (I have 4🐶) My dogs are very strong. I'm just wondering will this hold??? thanks again for the GREAT VIDEO!!!!
Hey!
Paracord is really strong, especially when braided. It should hold, but it is best to try it.
Now I am wondering what kind of dogs these are. :)

Hi there! I want to make it but I don't use inches,I use cm.Any help?
How big is your buckle?
How much paracord do you use for the cobra? The king cobra?
is it heavy...as I don't want my jack Russell to be heavy around the neck as pressure will cause my k9 neck pain...tq
Hey there!
It is not super heavy, but there are several things you can do to make it even lighter:
- stop at the base without the overlay
- use a thinner cord for the overlay
- gut the paracord (remove the inner strands) to further lighten up the collar.
Hope this helps!

This was great, I only wished you showed how you ended the two layers since you skipped past that and didn't show it enough for me to guess. Either way, good guide, thank you.
I’d imagine the same way you end all of them, simply lock it I end melt the ends.
one tip: don’t put the ring through it hurts dogs
