My absolute favourite boardgame ever. It constantly evolves each time you play, has rules that are quite easy to remember, and you can really channel your 'intuitive' smarts without it having to be too AP. After each game the answer to how you could have scored better is never a dry 'efficiency' question - it's all about tactics and strategy. An oldie but goldy. It also has superb expansion maps and a couple of fun little mini expansion elements (one adds a small hidden scoring goal for each player and the other gives you bigger, costlier skills to develop on your tableau).
So glad to see this game getting some love. This is one of my favorite games.

Thank you, Rahdo! I have been eagerly awaiting your runthrough of this game! I have it, and I had read through the rulebook, but there were some things which I was unsure of how they worked, so I had been waiting a few years for this game to get the Rahdo treatment so that I could actually see how the game plays!
22:25: you can use a bonus tile on the same turn that you got it.
23:52: I believe the active player chooses the city where the neutral player's piece goes.
This seems very similar to Endeavour. It's interesting that they came out around the same time so many years ago, and both are finally getting reprinted. My local gameshop has had this sitting on a shelf for almost ten years, maybe it's time to finally pick it up. I really like the option of putting yourself in an opponent's way, to then potentially acquire an extra worker once they kick you out.

The cover is so funny, the game board being inside the picture is super meta.
Also I just love mellow and clear boards like this... and the Hansa theme.

So how do you upgrade the different color offices?
Also, what are the 7, 8, 9, 11 numbers in the bottom left of the board?
The special city at the top center lets you upgrade your privilege. The special city in the lower left lets you place a merchant (if you used one in the route) on one of the numbers to score those points at the end of the game.

27:20 Because every office in a city was claimed the city track at top left should increase. This is the other possible endgame trigger

@@PauloRenato23 think he said when you control a house, players playing in the street that leads to it gives a point?
@@xChikyx you misunderstood... what he said is when a Route is complete players in Office on adjacent cities gain 1 Point... not when players place things on the road... if it was like that they would reach 20 points very quick and the game would end very fast
