  • This is a quick review of my thoughts and perception of owning the Vsett 10+ 25.6 ah version for 2 months. I have about 85 miles on the scoot and love it! I am so glad I did the research and found this monster. I don't believe there is a better scooter out in this price range. If you have a different opinion on that statement please leave a comment below so I can take a look. If you have any questions, leave a comment below and I will do my best to respond quickly. Go get one and wear your safety gear!
    VSETT 10+ 1,536/1680Wh Battery, 2x 1,400W Motors
    Estimated range of VSETT 10+ 25.6Ah battery pack ~64 miles distance, or ~70 miles with the 28Ah pack.
    What is the difference between the 25.6Ah & 28Ah battery packs?
    Both variants use the same number of battery cells, in a 16s8p (128 cells) configuration. The 25.6Ah pack uses the LG 3.2Ah MH1 cells, while the 28Ah has the slightly higher capacity 3.5Ah MJ1 cells. For a given voltage level, the performance of each pack is the same.

      @@ZOMBuckaCurt Really??? What's wrong with the Phantom?? I was sold on the 52v Phantom, until I found the Vsett 10+. The Phantom 52v is considered a last generation scooter, in that it omits the 60v platform. A 60v Phantom might get my purchase. Apollo needs to release the 60v Phantom. If Apollo waits too long, then I'll likely go with the Vsett 10+.

    i had the exact same experience with the front guard being shipped pushed down. i'm wondering if it's ewheel thing or just vsett thing.
    in any case, looking forward to your shock swap video.
    i ordered the steering damper as many have suggested it for high speed.
    but now i'm thinking i should've just gone with the shock mod instead.
    i haven't gone over 40 yet. i enjoy speed. but i feel like about 40 is the max that i would ever push a 10" wheel.

    I’m not knocking anyone for using Loctite but you do not need red Loctite on these things those small screws if you ever have to take them out without applying a shit load of heat you will never get them out without stripping them. Blue Loctite will hold any of those fasteners rock solid. Just a little warning out there to people there’s also locked up purple number to 22 it is a low strength perfect for small fasteners I’m a very small.

    • @outerzonerc777
      @outerzonerc777  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There is so much grease in the holes that the red barely works like blue no matter how good you clean it. Have you ever seen one of these fenders get caught in a front tire? I would rather be safe than possibly paralyzed or dead. These scooters vibrate like crazy stuff comes loose very easy. Takes two seconds to grab a lighter torch and hit the bolt. That's my opinion and I stand by it on the fenders. They are a huge safety hazard.

      @@outerzonerc777 oh I completely understand I would definitely go through and clean the hell out of those threads. I need to look up which one it is they make a lock type that will actually set up even with grease intrusion I just can’t remember the number right off the top of my head rubbing alcohol works really well to get the grease out of there or a little WD-40 followed up by some rubbing alcohol things up to Greece allows her to come right out

    After a long and hard time researching the mantis pro and the inokim oxo I just purchased this. All around a better built scooter. Hopefully I didn’t make a mistake choosing this one. Needed something that would get me around during festival season being a stagehand carrying 230 to 240lbs around.

    • @outerzonerc777
      @outerzonerc777  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I weigh 240 and it pulls me around like it doesn't know I'm on it. It's so strong and fast. You will need to tighten the front shock just a little at the weight or it will feel a little soft and unsettled. I will be switching to the exa 291r front shock soon because it actually has oil in it like the rear. For some reason, they didn't put a nice shock like the rear in the front and made a video. I have it already just no time to install it. Definitely look into the EXA 291r shock for the front at least. From what I have been told the front EXA 291r shock you want is the 1500lb spring rate for 210lbs-260lbs found on Aliexpress. I was told this by a guy who is widely known in the vsett 10 community and actually does warranty repairs for some of the big distributors.

      For me it was the suspension. It already looked well built and I saw it could upgrade the shocks even more. I have a messed-up back and I'm a bigger guy. I wanted to be soft but I also wanted it to handle well at high speeds. I think the v10 probably has a better ride quality than the mantis but I would think the mantis might be a bit more stable at high speeds. There are a few modifications you can do to make it handle better at high speeds like better shocks and a steering damper. The front shock is the downside of the V10 in my opinion. But I like to upgrade stuff. Shock installation video will be out soon.

      I’m very light weight only about 135lbs. and 5.7 feet tall.
      I also dig the suspension on Vsett, but Wolf Warrior is so well scored by owners and has also a quality build recognition just as Vsett does except for the headlight and horn.

    • @outerzonerc777
      @outerzonerc777  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      One benefit is you can turn the rate up at which it gets to 85% charged. So if you know you wanted to go for a ride in a few hours you could turn up to 5 amps and quick charge to 85% or quick charge to 100% if you were gonna go soon. Leaving the battery at over 85% is one thing that degrades the battery fast. If you already at 85% you can quickly top off the battery if you planning on a longer ride. But I timer is a good way to try and hit that 85% point if you have a voltage meter to check.

    Do you think the 20ah battery is enough?

    • @outerzonerc777
      @outerzonerc777  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I know the 20ah is the cheapest quality of the 3. Both the 25ah and 28ah are LG. The 25ah is a older tech LG battery. The 28ah is the newest fancy stuff.
      Personally I would go with at least the 25ah to get the LG quality. The quality not only has to do with distance but how smooth the power delivery is.
      The nicer the battery is the happier the electronics will stay also because they are getting the power they want when they ask for it. This causes them to run cooler and less chance of damage.
      If I were to get another it would be the 28ah if that helps but the 25ah is adequate. 20ah I can't speak much about because it's a no name battery that there are not test results on.

      It can depend on rider weight and battery size. The 28ah version uses a LG MJ1 (3.5ah) battery which is know to perform better then the LG MH1 on (3.2) 25.6. I do not know what battery is used on the 20ah version. It's highly likely that the 28ah with a 120 lb rider and proper tire pressure with zero headwind ( haha) can active 55mph. But I can not prove because I don't own a 28ah version or a 120lb test dummie. But I have spoken to someone that has achieved 51mph with a 25.6amp and 140lb rider.

      See what people don't understand is, it's all power to weight. One big thing people miss is the 28ah is not only a bigger battery which can result in more power if of the same kind and higher AH. Not to mention the fact that the 28ah battery is a superior LG battery. This is like comparing a Amazon special RC battery to a RC SMC race battery.
      The Amazon ones are great! Top of the line especially compared to some brands. But a SMC extreme graphene v2, I get 9 mph more out of one of the same size of a different brand.
      All that said the speed limiter when it's up in the air is 53 from controller if I remember so my post is 2mph off. But down a slight hill?
      Anyway I had the 25.6. It's was awesome. My back is really messed up and it was just too strong for me so I had to sell. I did the nice suspension. Perfect math to my weight. Everything turned down. Accelerating and brakes were still to good. Sporty little machines and I come from having a Buell firebolt 12r That I road 18,000 around town with when I was 18-24. I got the 25.6 with Nutt brakes for 2199.99. I was super happy with my purchase.
