Super cool. I thought the effect would be affecting the text and its material. I didn't expect it would be done using basically a distorting lens in front of the camera. Mind = Blown.
Thanks! I'm glad you found this helpful :) I'll soon try to find a method of recreating this in 4.2 with eevee next as well. Once I do that, I will be sure to create a tutorial on it as well !
Great tutorial, it is really informative. Unfortunately, as a beginner I am having trouble replicating this in version 4.2 as the glitch object material settings are now different . Is there a way to set up the material initially in a similar manner to version 3.xx ?
Thanks! I have not explored too deep in 4.2 yet, so I am unsure of the exact caveats that need to be dealt with to get the same effect. However, I will very soon take a look at it and try to find a similar method for 4.2, using eevee next. Once I figure it out, I will definitely release a tutorial for you all as well :)
Thank you so much! I still haven't tried this exact video in the latest versions of blender, but soon after 4.2 releases with EEVEE Next becoming the default, I'll definitely try to recreate it and make an updated version. :)
Oh... I still haven't faced any issues while using the glass shader in the newer versions of blender, but I must definitely try this again in the latest version. If I find any issue and figure out how to resolve it, I'll definitely create a video on that as well
Gonna go through this tutorial later but you can do this with any object right? Not just text? Also is this possible on real life footage. (For example if I have a video of a mug that I want to glitch out)
Thanks for the tutorial! I would like to ask which version of blender are you using? My viewport rendering always takes a few seconds and can never get as clean and as fast of a render as what you have in the video
This should work perfectly fine until version 4.1. I believe this was done somewhere around version 3.6. Version 4.2 uses EEVEE Next. So it might be a bit slower and different. However I haven't yet tested that out.
Hi, I'm not sure why you'd be getting a bluish hue for PNGs. They seem to be working fine when I try. You can share your .blend file to me by emailing it to deayanstudios@gmx.com and I'll try and take a look at it and see if I can find out what's going wrong.
These specific nodes weren't added to my patreon However, with the release of blender 4.2 and EEVEE Next, I will definitely be creating a more versatile and simpler way to create this. So I will be uploading those files to patreon. That's most likely to be uploaded towards the end of August.
I'm glad you were able to figure it out ✌️ Many people make that mistake. I often subconsciously add in a mix shader by accident when I mean to use an add shader.
Oh no! I wasn't aware of that. Never tried it on grease pencil objects. I'll definitely try my best to find a work around to get glitchy effects for those as well.
I personally haven't tried it, but I don't see any reason for it to not work in 4.0 4.1 might be a little different, but I'll release an update when 4.1 releases.
Literally one of the best tutorials ever
Thank you so much! I really appreciate it a lot! :)

Thank you so much! I'm glad you liked the effect :)
Great tutorial! Thanks man!
Thanks! I appreciate it :)
Thank man , I really needed this.
I downloaded Blender 3.6 just to make this =D.
Thanks! I'm glad you found this helpful :)

Thank you! I was looking everywhere for something like this. Earned a sub!
Thank you so much! I really appreciate it and I'm glad you found the video :)
really amazing tutorial man! thank you for sharing! :)
Thank you so much! I'm really glad you liked the effect :)

Thank you so much! I'm really glad you liked it :)

I couldn't do it exactly like you, maybe because of blender 4.0…… but it still good! The tutorial is just awesome!!! Thank you very much

@@deayanstudios u just got a new sub for that, I'll be waiting for the updated vid ^_^
Thank you so much! It was helpfull and easy to follow your instructions ❤
You're welcome 😁
I'm really glad you found the tutorial to be useful :)
Thank you very much!! Working great
Thank you! I'm glad it helped you :)
great, but seems that glass shader works wrong with blender >= 4.0 ?
Oh...
I still haven't faced any issues while using the glass shader in the newer versions of blender, but I must definitely try this again in the latest version.

This is brilliant. Thank you for making this tutorial! Do you know how I would go about rendering this as a transparent gif? Or exporting it to GLTF?
Thanks for the tutorial!
I would like to ask which version of blender are you using?

tried this on a PNG, idk wh but the cube still kept a blue hue instead of transparent, ive used the correct add shader

My glass is tinted blue and i cant figure out why
I was using a mix shader not an add shader xD whoops
I'm glad you were able to figure it out ✌️
Many people make that mistake.
I often subconsciously add in a mix shader by accident when I mean to use an add shader.
this is eevee render or cycle?
EEVEE
Unfortunately this trick does not work out with grease pencil objects :[
Oh no!
I wasn't aware of that. Never tried it on grease pencil objects.
I'll definitely try my best to find a work around to get glitchy effects for those as well.
does this still work in blender 4.0?
I personally haven't tried it, but I don't see any reason for it to not work in 4.0
4.1 might be a little different, but I'll release an update when 4.1 releases.
Thank you so much!😁
