I have had personal success with a diamondback explorer with a gimballed autocannon on bottom and two fixed pulse lazers on the sides. It's great to be able to keep up the damage and pressure with the autocannon while being able to surgically fire with fixed pulse lazers. I'm mainly a courier/explorer dipping my toe into combat but so far every mission I've taken has been completed with ease
how to be a spaceleach while this video is not bad i suggest you be brave ! BEE BRAVE CMDRS !!! take an eagle !! an imperial one even ! load it out with thrusters and power plants and hook a kill scanner , get a switch for the flight assist to be turned off on the ready , go take down those targets like a proper bounty hunter ! you will need the experience , dont be a leech
also learn what ships are below you in a haz rez, in my chieftan solo i know i can take vultures and cobras, but stay away from condas, fdls and vettes unless i have uncle digmbot or uncle nitris looking after me
You said you were going to talk about what ships had what roles and you mentioned like 4 hull tanks and thats it.... Also didnt tell us what to look for to determine what its role is.
Any Federation ship or Empire ship is rank locked 🔐 best early on fighter for people to really set a goal for would be a Chieftain was the choice I had made and it was the best choose I made early on in this game
I tend to forget the Chieftain is a thing, since it didn't exist when I was starting out. But it is a VERY nice ship. Very much a good all around craft and I do LOVE those rotating engine nacelles.
Using the FDL, what should my hard points be? I’m using 4 (or 5 however many I can have) multi cannons and and rail gun but I don’t think that’s good enough.
I am not a big fan of the rail cannon. Focus on the duo. Energy to kill shields. Kinetic to kill hull. You can make your big gun one or the other, depending on what you can afford to fit. But on the FDL, I like to stay with the conventional guns. It doesn't have enough hardpoints to justify a cannon, flak, plasma or the other luxury weapons. Be efficient. You want the bounty dead so you get the bounty. Go in with the "Kill as quick as possible" mindset and be ruthless about tailoring an FDL to that. Because if you do, that ship is a monster.
You can make the scanner the same button as the one you fire with, so it scans as your shooting down the ship. You might be thinking of that. Otherwise you have to manually hold down the button to scan whilst following them with your reticle.
@@Has_Skill_Issues You mean the menus while buying stuff? I've noticed that stations and fleet carriers have different UI for some reason. No Odyssey needed, just gotta be on a ship instead of a station.

It just a color edit of the HUD config files on PC
i prefer the viper over the eagle, eagle goes down too easy i can survive more in a viper
Plus once you get tired of hunting you can fit it for racing the viper is the meta for canyon raceinf

Does is now kill warrant scan automoatically? I havent played in a while but that appears to be the case.
