OH MY GOD CHRIS THAT IS MY SNAKE! AT 8:20 !!! THAT'S MY BOY! His name is Flip, purchased from Bailey and Bailey Reptiles, and he's still just a gorgeous! Hit 600 grams recently.
I just got my first snake! Lesser vanilla it's so amazing!! It's a female and I'll buy my first male once I'm confident I can care for it properly. She's been doing great! Very good eater and super calm. I got lucky with my first snake. I was inspired by your videos!
Leopard lesser clown is insane! That's on my wish list for expensive morphs lol. The lesser leopard is amazing on its own tho, I love that look. It's the closest I'm ever gonna get to a tri stripe lol
Hey Chris, great channel!….So if I have a lesser yellow belly would I have to breed her with a basic Mojave to get the BEL? or am I able to breed her with a Mojave with extra traits…..like pastel Mojave, leopard Mojave, clown Mojave etc. wasn’t sure if the extra traits would cancel out the BEL.. ty!
I just put a deposit down on a Black Pastel Lesser PB. I'm unsure what the "PB" stands for? Picking him up on Saturday at an expo, so I'll ask then. I thought he looked adorable. Full grown, about 4-5 years old. The breeder decided to downsize their collection.
@@ChrisHardwickanimaladventures The PB stands for "proven breeder." I thought it sounding like "peanut butter." 😂 Wasn't used to seeing "proven breeder" abbreviated after the morph name like that. Super confusing.
I love the GHI Mojave to a lesser🔥every yr I breed that morph out...Yet I could pair something else but it's the lesser that's making me pair the same💯
Chris, Can you work scaleless head into your Bamboo line? I see only 3 examples of the Bamboo Scaleless Head over on MM. I think there is a lot of potential there. I need one. lol
Hey Chris I was hoping I can get some help from you ! I’m currently shopping for my first ball pythons and am looking for a pastel desert ghost ( thanks to you) lol. I found 2 of them ( wish I could show you the morph market photos) one is much more colorful than the other, I was wondering if it will dull out eventually, one is from fire ball breeders and I think that’s where you got your desert ghost from ? Please help ! Lol
I was told he's a fire lesser and he fits the description. I was going to get a classic from petco because they're really inexpensive, but then someone gifted me this morph and I've just been going down the rabbit hole trying to find out as much about these beauties as I possibly can. So much to absorb!
Hi Chris, Just wanting YOUR view. I have a Lesser Male Ball Python and want to start breeding. What would you suggest to buy and breed first, Fire or Pastel?
Sup dude! Love your content keep up the great work. I wanted to share something with you I hope you bring up on the vlog because I’m sure people have similar stories. This is Zeus the Bumblebee Ball Python. @mzhuss and I we’re asked if we wanted to take him in because the poor guy was being neglected, defense, hadn’t eaten in 9 months, and was so stressed. He is a Bumblebee which is what you get when you breed the Spider Gene and the Pastel Gene but unfortunately sometimes snakes with the Spider Gene have the Spider wobble. The Spider wobble is a neurological issue that effects loss of motor control, primarily of the head and neck. Some spiders have no wobble at all however some display head tremors when in a high state of alertness such as when hunting, some individuals show irregular head movements whenever they move and In some extreme cases it can make it difficult for them to keep themselves right side up and inhibit any form of normal locomotion. This wobble will display even more if the snake is stressed. Poor Zeus has this issue and was so stressed he was even sleeping upside down in the care of the previous of the previous owner. We are not Snake or Reptile experts but we wanted to give him a home that he will be loved with the hopes that he will get better and he hasn’t disappointed. He now sleeps right side up, his wobble hashi become minimal, he feels safe being handled and most of all he ate all by himself for the first time in over 9 months this week. When we got him he was so skinny you felt and saw his spine due to lack of nutrition. So him eating on his own shows things are progressing for the better. Before this week we had to assist feed him every week to get some nutrients in his body. It wasn’t easy but we never gave up on him. Whatever we had to do to get him right we did and continue to do. So now we get to see him thrive in his environment and he’s the sweetest Snake ever. I can put him in the hand of a child and trust he’s not going to do anything wrong. He’s a inspiration for me. He has showed me even if life is bad someday the time will come that things will get better and you will thrive. Thank you Zeusy!
I've got a sweet Lesser x Leopard couple I'm planning on pairing off next season. The female is pounding rats away, while I can't seem to get the male away from the meeces. I'm feeding him 3 mice a week right now, luckily he's all i have that eats mice. He's ate one rat for me, and won't take another. I'm thinking ASF or some other methods. Not sure what to do. Hoping it doesn't mess up my plans for him.
I’m new to the breeding world but have been very interested for a while now! I have a 4 year old female firefly ball python and a 3 year old male lesser platinum. What would you say the combos would be if I were to pursue breeding them 2!
I love the way lesser's look!! Gosh I want one so bad. I just got done watching your video about normal ball pythons and it left me with a few questions.... for instance you said you showed a het pied and I think get carmel....? But you showed how to tell if you got a het pied (by looking for the "tracks" on the belly) and I was just wondering if there is any other ways to tell if your normal as anything else in it. I cant breed and find out that way because my snakes are much to young. I bought my normal from someone who wasn't sure about it. I'd really like to hear your thoughts and opinions.
The only recessive I know for sure is het pied markers in a normal and that's not always a guarantee, although with strong het pied tracks I've never seen it to be wrong. Can't really tell any other genes that are recessive without breeding them out, and unless you breed back to the offspring or to another recessive you may never know you have it.
@@ChrisHardwickanimaladventures Alright, well I guess i got a couple more years till I find out. Thank you so much for your help and keep posting these amazing videos! Absolutely love and support your channel. Good luck!

Hey guys..the more genes does not necessarily produce a prettier snake..the only bragging rights are to say I produced a snake with a million different genes...and does not mean pretty!!!Some of the prettiest snakes I've came across have 3 or less gene morphs!!!Don't go crazy guys....sometimes it's a waste of time!!!

A base morph is a single gene animal like Pinstripe, or Pastel, or Lesser...

Could you get a green eyed Lucy from making a Black eyed Lucy with pastel or super pastel in it?
Hey Chris, what about lesser with a het ? Or a Pastel lesser. Can you still do the a Super Lesser?
As long as Lesser is in both snakes the other genes don't matter.
@@ChrisHardwickanimaladventuresgot it, thanks!.BTW, your videos are great!
Lessor Clown for me... throw in a Lessor Bamboo as well❤
would a Enchi Lesser and a Pastel YellowBelly make a great pair??
Great video, yes lesser is a must in any breeding collection, the possibilities are endless. Not to mention it's relatively inexpensive to get into.
