My fav was the one from 2:45. VW turbo diesel? It's the hood and front cab of a Samurai trapped inside the exo cage of a rock buggy. Those loooong front links!!! I have those too- holding up the basement center beam in my house!
We just ran the Rubicon a month ago in our Yamaha RMAX 1000's and can appreciate what the the Suzuki Samurai's can do as they have even a shorter wheelbase than ours (we're 86.7"). Really nice camera work and editing! Only thing I would do is add 'Rubicon' somewhere in the title as your video doesn't show up in a YT 'Rubicon' search.
Hope you make it out next year. I unfortunately caught covid a few days before and this would be the first time I missed zukicon. Hopefully the last time I miss it. Hope to see you all next year.
I read that for rock climbing aired up tires gave better traction. For soft soil, aired down tires gave a bigger pad area. Has anybody noticed better traction without airing down? I'll try that next time I get on the Rubicon. Looking forward to trying my 5:36 gearing with 37" tires in 1st gear.
Airing down is always going to be better traction. How much to air down for different terrain is what you need to figure out. 37s and low gears should be great for the trail 🤙🏻
One look at (what was left of) the body gave away the starting point at least. I had a black Geo Tracker/ Suzuki Sidekick too. This one is a total frankenstein though! Those horrible-for-offroad straight-down rocker panels, gone. Rear coil suspension, gone and turned into a long-leaf with missing links. Front IFS, gone and turned into a 4 link and pushed way forward. In fact, this thing has a big wheelbase stretch- I wanna know more too!
Great video, looks like a good group of people. Couple of sick YJs too 😜. I don't know about Tacobell as a reward for surviving the Rubicon, now you have to survive the bathroom stop shortly after.
Every tire/wheel combo is different. I go down to 5psi on mine, but have burped air. I usually go down to 10psi and then see how it looks when I'm flexed out or something. Other than losing air, I also don't want the tire to get pinched between a rock and the wheel. 🤙🏻
Sic dude, nice video! Love watching the little Sami's slay it. I hear that the Vitara/Sidekick radiator and thermo fan is a fairly simple upgrade to help keep it cool.
@@FortuneOffRoad thermostats are made, 82°, 85° and 88°C Celsius, put the weakest one and add an elctric propeller for manual control from the front, it will work even on the original chiller. I have been servicing Samurai for over 30 years, we deal with these issues routinely. facebook.com/servicesuzuki4x4
Great video. I'd love to make it out there to ride with you guys sometime. Getting out without body damage?? Ha!! Chicks dig body damage. :0) You guys rock!
Great channel... Sifted through some of your other videos (commented on another). In this video, are you running stock diff gears & the 6.4:1 Sumo T-Case?
Yes! The 6.4 sumo gears make it so a bad driver like me can crawl through the big rocks. I've heard many stories about the 6.5:1 failing , but haven't seen a set of 6 .4:1 destroyed. They work great! Thanks for checking out our videos! 🤙🏻
@@FortuneOffRoad Cheers... I bought the 6.4:1 Sumo set as well (because of the 6.5:1 failure stories), but haven't been home to install it yet. I was slightly worried about the crawl speed, but seems to work nicely in your video
@@robindegetaire4388 I crawl through most stuff. So much in fact that I stall the engine out quite often, but that's just because I need more gearing! 🤘🏻
@@FortuneOffRoad Nice..... I am fitted with 5.12 diff gears, should be about perfect judging from your vids. Cheers man... Much appreciated you taking the time to reply.
Rear was a stock bumper before some rocks bent it up, front is from Dr. Z Fabrication. Check out my get more flex video for a coupon code. Might still work!
Thanks dude! I have a Playlist on our TH-cam of all of the mods since day one. Soon I'll make a walk-around video of the Samurai in its current form. 🤙🏻
Thanks for the comment! Yeah, they flex very nicely and have been holding up great. I run 5psi front and rear. I have never lost a bead, but I have burped some air out. I won't go any lower! I need to get some beadlocks!
Keep posting so nice videos with Sami.
Do you know where I can buy a stock roll cage?
Thanks dude! I would try a pick n pull. I see samurais there often in my area 🤙🏻
I used to belong to a Suzuki Club, Gadzuks!!! Rubicon was fun in my Sammy!!
amazing sukis trail ..good video good stuff ... congrats to you ...one question who s the owner of that geo tracker buggy ????
I think his username is @fskb_lance on Instagram. 🤙🏻

So great to see so many zooks. Great video.
Epic adventure guys ! Nice to see you out on the trail with more zuki rigs then just youre zuki rig !!
Hope you make it out next year. I unfortunately caught covid a few days before and this would be the first time I missed zukicon. Hopefully the last time I miss it. Hope to see you all next year.
Man, that's too bad! I hope to be there next year too! 🤙🏻
Hey Kyle, great to meet you on the trail and to see more Zuki's out on the Con.
Yeah good times!
Love the video. Very well produced.
Kyle your videos just keep getting better and better. What a great weekend. Looks like Frankie still has a way to go to catch up to Remy😉

Looks like a good time. The beast @1:15 caught my eye and I must know more....
Yeah that things cool! I'm gonna try to get a walk-around of it next time.

I'll take any excuse to go to Taco Bell. Bathroom breaks mean more TH-cam to watch! 🧐
I've ran the Rubicon in my samurai twice. Love to do that run.👍
Me too
Awesome Video. Great trip.
what air pressure do you run usually? I'm at 20psi and tires aren't even squashed at all. not sure how low to go without beadlocks?
i have 35x12.50 r17's

I installed a Old Man Emu lift. Only 2'. Is there a baby course for the smaller lifts? Looks fun and intimidating!!!
that looks real fun
It sure is!
Looks like a blast! Anybody know if this is going to happen again this year? If so, how do I get the details?
It was really great. Happiness this year too! On Facebook you can search Zukicon 2022 🤘🏻

Runs much better. Best mod so far!
What size tires are you running?

Anyone know if a samurai shares the same parts with the jimny?
I'm sure most of them are the same just different for RHD.

Thanks for the comment! Yeah, they flex very nicely and have been holding up great. I run 5psi front and rear. I have never lost a bead, but I have burped some air out. I won't go any lower! I need to get some beadlocks!
How much did you end up putting into mods? Do you talk about it in another video?
I bought it for 2.2k probably about 5k into it

@@FortuneOffRoad they were not showing up ! And now they are that is the weird ! Lol
I have a 87 Sammy that I will be buried in HA HA but that's what I tell everyone.
They're hard to let go!
Sure enough, I've got so much invested that I probably won't be able to pay for a casket!
With all that damage, I think id rather play in mud trails
Its worth it! You just have to buy the right parts, which I didnt.
