    Farbenprächtige Aufführung dieses farbenprächtigen Meisterwerks mit perfekter Kontrolle aller Instrumente. Der geniale Dirigent leitet das ganze Orchester mit präziser Synchronisierung im stabilen Tempo. Die Tonqualität ist ziemlich hoch als eine Aufnahme von fast siebzig Jahre vor. Einfach wunderbar!

    The conduct of Mravinsky is awed and venerably .
    The person who listens to the music Mravinsky conducts is
    overwhelmed .
    The conductor who surpasses
    Mravinsky does not exist in
    anyone but Mravinsky in the world !

    My first time hearing this. Another great piece by one of my favorites. Always so colorful and beautiful and not a moment have you bored! Love it! Funny that I heard "Ruslan and Lyudmila" after around 7:58. Maybe he loved the Glinka opera too :).

    It was some years ago that I came across a book by Munin Nederlander entitled "Kitezh: The Russian Grail Legends" I had never heard of this book before. But about a week later I came across Rimsky-Korsakoff's "The Legend of the Invisible City of Kitezh." And, for all I was familiar with many of Rimsky-Korsakoff's works, I had never heard of this piece, either! Both within the space of a single week! How is that for synchronicity?

      Now where did he got his Inspiration: He , himself sailed on a long tall ship for 3Three years sailing accross the 7Seven seas Ocean, that's where he got his inspiration from, sailing as a first mate on board the old clippers, travelling all arround the world, what a human being and wonderfull composer amazing!!

    • @ValzainLumivix
      @ValzainLumivix 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is a great mistake to say: this composer scores well, or, that composition is well orchestrated, for orchestration is part of the very soul of the work. A work is thought out in terms of the orchestra, certain tone-colours being inseparable from it in the mind of its creator and native to it from the hour of its birth. Could the essence of Wagner's music be divorced from its orchestration? One might as well say that a picture is well drawn in colours.
