I think this garden is exactly what I would want.Large plants and I would definitely want the agave , any type of cactus. The choice of plants and black rocks ,really compliments the style of the house.
Wow, so nice to see a garden with fully matured plants. It gives you a real understanding of each plants habits and growing potential. Love living vicariously through your channel. Thank you ❤️😎🇦🇺
I just love this garden. And Laura, I am living vicariously through you at the moment, I’m in southern Australia where to us it’s freezing and very wet.
We definitely are living vicariously through you!! It’s been over 110 for days and my plants here in Phoenix Arizona 9B are looking like scorched earth. Love the variety of plants at this home, and their interesting shapes with age. Thank you for the tour!! 💚 🌵💚
What an honor for those clients to have you install and maintain their giants gardens and beautiful properties!! Your work is simply, amazing. I always remember the Pachypodium - Barrel cactus combo beacause of you and it's sooooooooooooooooo cool!! I love it so much! I wish I could find a pachypodium where I live!
I definitely identify as a collector rather than a designer. I have many containers with only one plant in each. Every time I think about trying to put a designed mixed pot together I just lose motivation and end up potting singular plants. I just bought a false ocotillo today. I keep seeing them in your videos and they look so interesting. I went to Poot's Cactus Nursery in Ripon and got a baby Fred Ives too.
A thought for next time, those curly jade would look great just spaced out all down the hedge now that they are so big and lace them out like giant bonsai. I bet you already thought of it too but didn't because it would be a nightmare to move those heavy concrete planters. Still really cool regardless and to see such old specimens with such fat trunks on them. I used to think those curly jade were nothing great just a basic hedge type plant but they are really growing on me. Even the color is a nice mild green unlike the dark green jades.
Hi Laura! For those large containers with the large cactus, do you fill it completely with soil or do you add plastic bottles first so it won’t retain too much moisture. Thank you! I want to get a large pot and plant a cactus but scared it’ll rot. Thanks ;)
OMG 😲 can some please give that poor citrus tree at the front a prune!!! It really need it to get the dead wood, all the twiggy bit and thin it out. It suffering badly for nutrients deficiency and pH level too. Being close to ocean it will be very alkaline soil!
@@gorrillagardening3692 But what I'd like to know is what kind of Savin Spay? I used Savin dust in the early 90s but haven't used it since, is there still a systemic insecticide to water in?
Another stunning garden..... oh, to be surrounded like that for just one day
This garden is a good example of how magnificent even succulents grow with age. Loved it.
Best garden ever. 👍

Same here, melbourne for me
That symmetrical style of planting with the barrels and agave doesn’t seem like something you’d do. But it matches those pebble rocks. Clean and neat.
That's absolutely amazing garden. Thank you Laura. You bring so much energy through your knowledge. 🙏💖
You have an awesome job!!
I so enjoy my succulents, this is the first year for me, have loads of them ,I just don't want to hurt them in winter.
Such a beautiful peaceful garden. They must love being able to relax year round!
I bought a barrel cactus for my birthday!
Stunning barrel-agave colony

Nothing wrong with a specimen gardener/style!
@@gorrillagardening3692 Yeah, I know. I just wish I could be more creative sometimes...

Sorry about the great view of the ocean got that beat by the beach living in the Caribbean lol, beautiful potted garden .

Question, I have been reading that succulents can stay out all winter. And they do come back ???? Any suggestions please
🙋

SOS, mealy bugs are resistant to insecticide soap, what's safe for my suckies? 😐
I hose off first with sharp blasts of water - if I see them after that I use Sevin spray.
@@gorrillagardening3692 Most of my affected succulents are in planters and not really big enough to "blast with the hose"

I put rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle and apply. Takes a few rounds, but does the trick.
I bought sevin spray and applied it to my most affected they're in a shady spot. Keeping my fingers crossed.
