Im currently study a diploma of business to prepare myself for the workforce, and would love to get your thoughts of starting out
Three Key Takeaways: 1) "Business Development" is much more strategic, collaborative, and long-term, whereas "Sales" is going to be much more straightforward and transactional, 2) One isn't better than the other, in fact they both need each other in order to maintain positive relationships between both companies and their respective customers, 3) The skills you need for both overlap but the most important (and commonly underrated skill) is the ability to have empathy. It's the best way to see and solve Points of Pain (which will in turn help you build stronger connections and/or sell more products and services
